CHAPTER 4: I Must Speak With The Moon Goddess

After school, Reece, the rest of the Pack and I went out to one of the Wolf clubs we have here that I am really good friends with the owner and doesn't care how old we are.

I had needed to get my mind off of that new girl as I have been thinking about her all day long and not necessarily in a good way. I was more curious than anything.

Pam had told me what all the new girl, Tori, had told her and her friends earlier today and I wanted to bust out laughing because I knew who she really was and to why she was here. 

I suddenly realized as I stumbled into my bedroom as quietly as I could, that I was going to hear about not introducing myself to Tori from my uncle and show her around. Oh well, I will deal with that tomorrow and just tell my uncle that I never saw her. Besides, he has got some explaining to do. There is no way that my mate is a damn Witch.

After waking up the next morning and heading downstairs to grab some coffee and try to get rid of this big headache from my hangover before school, I had hoped that I would not run into Tori or my uncle. However, I unfortunately saw my uncle coming into the kitchen and greeting me with a 'good morning' as I sipped my coffee and ignored him while sitting at the dining room table while looking on my phone, hoping he'd go back into his room and leave me alone. I wasn't in the mood to talk to him right now and I was really irritated at the thought we had her kind staying with us. He instead sat in the chair across from me on the opposite side.

"So, you didn't meet Tori?" He asks as he sips his coffee.

"Yeah. I did. She's cool." I lie to him and continue drinking my coffee.

"You know better than to lie to me Max." He says.

I take in a deep breath and let it out in frustration as I start to answer him.

"Fine. I didn't meet her. But she's alive still isn't she?" I tell him.

"I swear, Max." I hear him say under his breath as he shakes his head and drinks more of his coffee.

"Look, this was you and your friend's idea. I have too much on my plate to be a tour guide for her." I tell him as I take the final drink from my cup and get up to put the cup into the sink.

"Listen, Max. You may not like this arrangement and I'm not asking for you to babysit her, clearly she doesn't need that. However, you will treat her with respect and you will not be the asshole that you normally are, towards her, you understand?" He says in a serious tone.

"Whatever. I need to get ready for school." I roll my eyes.

"Good. Then when you're done getting ready, you can at least give Tori a ride also." He says.

"Sorry Uncle Redd. I'm riding my motorcycle today." I reply while heading out the kitchen and upstairs towards my room when he stops me.

"That wasn't a request and besides, that fake titted slut you parade around is always on the back of it. So, you WILL take her to school and you WILL bring her home afterwards, understood?" He tells me as he stands up and glares at me.

"Fine! Which room is she in?" I asked him while trying to hide my irritation towards him. 

"She's out back, in the guest house." He smirks before walking past me and heading towards his bedroom.

What the hell?! She's a stranger and she gets to stay in the guest house but not me? What the fuck? 

I hurry and go upstairs to get ready for school then head downstairs and walk out back towards the guest house and knock on the door. 

Not a moment later, she opened up the door and is wearing jeans that seem to fit good, along with a tank top and black cardigan along with mascara and her hair in a messy bun with medium-sized hoop earrings.

"What are you doing here?" She asks me.

"Look, I'll tell you more on our way to school. Right now, just grab your things and meet me out front, I have to take you to school today and then bring you back home afterwards. So let's go." I snap at her and start stomping my way off towards the driveway out front by going through the side gate before she's able to reply.

She gets in and damnit, that scent of hers fills up my nostrils. I start rolling down my windows to make sure the scent doesn't seep into the car seats of my black Ferrari. Yeah, I decided not to take my motorcycle.

We start taking off and head towards school. We share a moment of awkward silence between one another. 

"So, can you please explain how you knew where I lived?" She asked in a soft and fragile voice. Fucking Witches, so fragile and pathetic.

"First of all, I don't care what deal my uncle and your aunt have about your arrangement here, but I don't want anything to do with you. You stay out of my way and I will stay out of yours all while we put on a show for my uncle in making him think that we're getting along. Secondly, this isn't your home, you are a guest at mine and my uncle's house. This will NEVER be your home. And finally, I know what you are so don't even think about putting hexes or spells on any of us, got it?." I tell her.

"You do? Please don't tell anyone." She asks.

"Trust me, I don't want to. The last thing I need is for anyone to know I am living near a Witch." I said with so much distaste and disgust in my voice.

From the look on her face, I could tell that hit her hard but I don't care, she needs to know where she stands with me. I had to shut my wolf up after him yelling at me for talking to our mate in such a manner. 

"So here's the deal, I will drop you off a block from school and pick you up there afterwards, so no one will see." I tell her.

She doesn't say anything else, she just nods her head in agreement and as soon as I pull over to the curb and unlock the door to let her get out and walk the rest of the way, she closes the door and I speed off, leaving her in the distance.

After parking my car, I got out and started walking over towards the guys. I see Reece give me a nod while looking at the car confused.

"Hey, what's with the car? I thought you'd never drive it to school?" He asks.

"Yeah, well, something's wrong with the brakes on my bike, I need to replace them and Uncle Redd had already left so I just drove it over." I lie to him.

"Okay...." He replies in disbelief. 

It's not that I don't trust Reece. I know he wouldn't tell anyone if I told him about Tori and I being mates. However, she's a witch. Besides, tonight, I had planned to contact the Moon Goddess and ask her to reverse this. So I'd rather wait to see if she'll give me a new mate.
