CHAPTER 11: I Will Keep In Touch

For the whole ride back to the house after we got done going to that shop, I couldn't help but think something was off. Like something was wrong. It almost seemed as though she was scared but trying to hide it from me. The question is though, from who would she be fearing?

"Are you alright?" I hear Max ask me as he parks the car in the driveway.

"Yeah. I just don't know why she was acting like that. It was almost like was scared of something happening or..." I began but he stopped me.

"Hey, I'm sure she'll be okay." He tries to reassure me with a smile.

"Yeah. Me too." I reply.

"Can I ask what's in the bag she gave you?" He ask me.

"No." I smirk at him as I see him with a look of disappointment. "But I can show you three days from today. We will need the help from the strength of the full moon." I tell him.

"Alright." He smiles at me.

"Do you think...Nevermind." I quickly stop myself.

"What?"

"Do you think that she was right, about us?" I asked feeling a little embarrassed seeing as to how we both just now started being with each other in a relationship and haven't gone on our first date yet.

"I do. Just as much as I believe the Moon Goddess." He smiles at me and then looks down at my lips for a brief moment before looking back up into my eyes again and slowly starts leaning in closer until we lock lips and begin to share a passionate and sweet gentle kiss.

The next day was awesome. Me and Max were walking hand-in-hand with each other into school with the other pack members following us and of course we got stares and the whispers started to happen but he just held me closer to him to assure me it's going to be okay.

It was crazy because literally not that long ago, him and I were practically like enemies and now, everything is different. A good different, for a change.

Unfortunately, Max had tried to get every class I had but there were two that he wasn't able to get. Lucky for me, Pamela was in those. (Note the sarcasm)

One of my least favorite subjects, that I hate even more than math, just happens to also be the last class of the day.....P.E.

I wasn't supposed to have it this year until somehow, it showed I was missing some credits from last year for the last months of school and so I was told the other day I had to take it otherwise I would not have a chance to graduate.

Throughout the entire period, she glared at me although I just ignored her. Damn, even if I wasn't a witch and was a wolf, she would still hate me.

Finally the bell rang and everyone got up and started heading out and the minute I walk out of the room, I feel someone wrap both their arms around my waist from behind and kisses me on the neck.

"Hey beautiful." Max says to me.

"Hey." I turn and put my arms around him and we start kissing each other.

"Get a room." Pamela remarks as she walks past behind Max.

Max ignores her and continues looking at me and smiles.

"You ready to go?" He asks me.

"Yeah." I tell him and he gives me another quick kiss as he takes my hand and we head outside towards the front to meet up with the guys to get ready to head back to the house.

When we get back, we see his uncle grabbing a duffel bag and stops as soon as he see's us.

"Where are you going?" Max asks him.

"I have to leave for a while." He answers as he looks over at me. "You're aunt is in trouble."

"What kind of trouble?" I ask him.

He looks at the pack and has them leave the room before continuing.

"When your aunt left and had you come here, she was trying to go after some warlocks who have been looking for you ever since you were little. Now they seemed to have captured her." HE says with pain in his voice.

"W-what would they want with me?" I asked.

"You have the abilities that very few have and that can threaten your own kind. This group of warlock's however, they want to use you as a pawn in their plan so that you can help them take over the Witch Council and get rid of the elders. They want fear to be put into everyone. But your aunt seems to have not only found them but is needing my help. So i'm going to go and get your aunt and I promise I will stay in contact." He finishes.

"Uncle Redd..." He begins to protest to his uncle.

"Please, I already closed the restaurant for maintenance and I need you to look out for her right now. I've contacted your school and they've agreed to have all your guys' homework emailed to you both so you can do it at home." He says to us both. He then looks at Max for a while longer and I noticed Max nodding as though he was asked something. Then uncle Redd looked back at me.

"Be careful and please tell my aunt that I love her." I tell him as I begin fighting back some tears.

"I will and I promise that everything will be okay." He assures me with a smile.

I just nod in agreement as we finish saying goodbye and then he was gone. Max and I both stood there looking at the door for a few moments before looking back at each other and then I felt I just had to ask him.

"What did your uncle ask you?"

"Let's go out to the guest house and I'll tell you. I don't want the guys to hear about it yet." He tells me and takes hold of my hand and begins leading us out back.
