Andromeda Swann: POTC

Talk with Davy Jones.

Andromeda's POV

"So Miss Swan, how did you become a pirate?" he asks me.

"A year ago Barbossa kidnapped my sister and I while trying to break his curse. He said I had the heart of a true sailor. Offered me a position in his crew for my sister's safety and I accepted. Then he died and we returned to Port Royal where I got engaged to a Commodore I adore dearly. But he too knew of my love for the sea and helped me leave Port Royal. Six months after I left I meet Soa Feng, who taught me everything I needed to know to be a pirate. Last month I started my own crew, becoming captain. That's my story" I explain.

"I regret the fate of your crew, my kracken was looking for Sparrow" he tells me.

"I gathered that, but I want you to understand something Jones" I tell him. "Will and I are, we don't have a contract with you or have given an oath to serve this ship. We can leave anytime we want. Unless Jack manages to harvest the other nineteen souls, which I doubt. Then Will and I will be set free so that you can have Jack. I'll even help you find him" I state.

"Agreed, but while Will and you are here. You will follow orders" he tells me firmly. "Remember, here I am captain" he states.

"Who hasn't been doing his job" I state. "Otherwise you, your crew and ship would not look like this" I say gesturing to his cabin. "You must of really loved that woman, to let her affect you so much" I state.

"What do you know about it?" he demands standing up.

"That you fell in love with her and you betrayed each. Which lead you to cutting out your own heart. Since then you have not been doing your duty" I tell him calmly.

"She pretended to love me, she betrayed me!" he exclaims.

"Us women can be complicated, but we do not pretend to love people Jones. No honourable woman would, not even a pirate one. It goes against everything our mothers teach us" I tell him.

"Enough, I did not ask you here to discuss my former lover" he tells me firmly. He sits back down facing me. "Your the first woman that has ever been on this ship" he states.

"I figured that out" I tell him.

"Being the first and only woman aboard this ship. Represents great dangers to you, which I can protect you from. As long as you behave" he tells me smirking.

"I can look after myself Jones" I assure him. "But I will follow your rules and orders. Just remember I am happily engaged woman and know how to defend myself. Keep your men in line and we won't have a problem" I tell him.

"You shall sleep in my cabin, I will have a hammock set up for you. I won't make any moves on you as I have no interest in anyones company. It's the safest place for you at night" he states.

"Fine, but don't treat me differently from the rest of the crew. Just because I'm a woman" I tell him. "I've lived at sea and as a pirate for a year. I can handle whatever you throw at me" I state.

"Very well, but what if Sparrow does get the other nineteen souls?" he asks me.

"Then I will swear an oath to this ship, crew and you willingly" I tell him.

"I hope Sparrow gets those souls, it'll be nice to have a woman around. If you do well I might even promote you. You may keep your weapons" he tells me.

"Thanks, now I must get to work" I tell him.

"No, sleep tonight and work tomorrow" he tells me before leaving. I take off my boots, belt, and pistols. I curl up in the chair I was on and keeping my knives hidden. Then falls asleep. Not knowing Will had reunited with his father, who was forced to whip him.
