We arrived in Ship Wreck Cove the next day as the sun sets. Both Elizabeth and I have changed clothes. Her into captain clothes and me in dry clothes. I love the blue shirt I'm wearing. I sharpen my sword and knives. Then cleaned my pistol and loaded it. Making sure I have spare bullets and gun powder.

"You ready Andromeda?" Elizabeth asks as I put my boots on.
"Yes" I say dully. I'd been very quiet since James' death. I was sick twice last night. I know Elizabeth is worried about me. But I assure her I am fine.
"We're docking now" she tells me.
"Good, lets avenge my husband and our father" I tell her. She nods her head in agreement as she puts her hat on. We leave the cabin and go onto the main deck. I look at Ship Wreck Cove and smile. I have missed it, I wonder how Edward Teague is doing?
Tai Haung and the rest of the crew join us as we hop onto the dock. I then lead the way to the meeting room. We arrive to see the other pirate lords already there. With Barbossa leading the meeting. As they all put their pieces of eight into a bowl Ragetti carries around.
"Sparrow!" Villanueva says. Jack touches coin dangling from his bandanna. So that's his piece of eight, I always did wonder.
"Might I point out that we are still short one pirate lord, and I'm content as a cucumber to wait until Sao Feng joins us" Jack tells them.
"Sao Feng is dead. He fell to the Flying Dutchman" Elizabeth states as we enter the room. SHe places her sword in the world globe.
"And made you captain? They're just giving the bloody title away now" Jack grumbles.
"Shut it Sparrow" I growl as I lean against a post.
"Listen. Our location has been betrayed. Jones is under the command of Lord Beckett, they're on their way here" Elizabeth tells everyone.
"Who is this betrayer?" Jocard asks.
"Not likely anyone among us" Barbossa assures the pirate lords.
"Where's Will?" Elizabeth asks.
"Not among us" Jack tells her.
"What did you do this time Sparrow?" I demand.
"Why do you always think the worst of me luv?" he asks me.
"Because it's usually true" I state matter of factly.
"It matters not how they found us. The question is, what will we do now that they have?" Barbossa asks. Stopping mine and Jack's bickering.
"We fight" Elizabeth answers and the pirate lords laugh.
"Shipwreck Cove is a fortress, a well supplied fortress. There is no need to fight if they cannot get to us" Mistress Chang explains to Elizabeth.
"There is a third course. In another age, at this very spot, the first court captured the sea goddess, and bound her in her bones. That was a mistake. Oh, we tamed the seas for ourselves, aye, but opened the door to Beckett and his ilk. Better were the days when mastery of seas came not from bargains struck with eldritch creatures, but from the sweat of a man's brow and the strength of his back alone. Y'all know this to be true. Gentlemen, ladies. We must free Calypso" Barbossa tells us.
"Shoot him" Ammand says.
"Cut out his tongue" Jocard adds.
"Shoot him and cut out his tongue, then shoot his tongue. And trim that scraggly beard" Jack tells them.
"Sao Feng would have agreed with Barbossa" Tai Huang tells Elizabeth.
"She is not Sao Feng" I remind him.
"Calypso was our enemy then, she will be our enemy now" Jocard states.
"And it's not likely her mood's improved" Chevalle adds.
"I would still agree with Sao Feng, we release Calypso" Villanueva says placing his pistol on the table.
"You threaten me?" Chevalle demands.
"I silence you" Villanueva says and Chevalle punches him in the face. Everyone starts to fight until Barbossa fires a gun silencing them all. They all return to their seats. Jack then gives a speech about cuttle fish.
"I agree with, and I cannot believe the words are comin' out of me mouth, Captain Swann. We must fight" Jack finishes.
"You have only ever run away from a fight" Barbossa tells him. They bicker about it and Jack wins. "As per the code, an act of war, and this be exactly that, can only be declared by the pirate king" Barbossa tells him.
"You made that up" Jack accuses.
"Did he now? I call upon Captain Teague, keeper of the code" I say. SeSumbhajee starts to address us.
"SeSumbhajee proclaims this all to be folly! Hang the code! Who cares..." he gets shoot dead.
"Code is the law" Captain Teague says and blows the smoke from his puzzle. He steps forward. "You're in my way boy" he says and Jack steps to the side. Two old men carry up the code and set it on the table. Capt. Teague whistles and the dog comes with the key. He takes it and unlocks the code. "Barbossa and Andromeda are right" he declares.
"Wait a moment" Jack says and looks at the code for himself. "It shall be the duty of the king to declare war, parlay with said adversaries... fancy that" he says.
"There's not been a king since the first court, and that's not likely to change" Chevalle states.
"Not likely" Teague agrees and goes back to his seat. He starts to play his guitar.
"Why not?" Elizabeth asks confused.
"Because the king is elected by popular vote and each pirate only votes for himself" I tell her.
"I call for a vote" Jack announces. So everyone votes for themselves. Including Elizabeth until it's Jack's turn. "Elizabeth Swann" he votes shocking everyone. They all try to protest his vote.
"Am I to understand that you lot will not be keeping to the code, then?" I ask them. Captain Teague breaks a guitar string and the room goes silent. Mistress Chang stands from her seat.
"Very well, what say you Captain Swann, king of the Brethren Court?" she asks Elizabeth.
"Prepare every vessel that floats. At dawn, we're at war" Elizabeth declares. I smile, we will avenge our father and James. But before then I have to find out if my suspicion is correct.
