Chapter 14: A Drunk Lapis (part 1)

**Lapis's POV**

I woke up to see Peridot sound asleep, holding my arms.
I smiled and nuzzled into her neck. I saw the suitcases, and I remembered we had a week left here.. Or else they'd take her...
I pulled Peridot closer, and pushed the thoughts away. I realized, we needed a plan. We needed to outsmart them.

But.. How?? They're with the government.. They know everything.. We cant give up though.. There has to be a way... Maybe there is? Hmm..

I thought about ways to get away from them.. Where we would go.. How we'd make money.. I didn't realize Peridot had woken up until she broke me from my thoughts.

"Lapis."
"..Huh?"
"good morning." she kissed my cheek as if it were any other normal morning.
"Heh.. Morning."
She smiled at me, then it soon turned to a frown.

"it'll be okay, Peridot.. They wont get you."
She sighed and nodded.
I grabbed my phone off my dresser to see what time it was.
12:01 pm.
We slept in again, and we missed almost half our classes.. guess it doesn't matter since we're running away.

My phone starting ringing again, which scared both and Peri, and I practically threw my phone.
We checked to see who it was, and it was Amethyst.

We signed in relief, and I answered the call.
"hey, Ame."
"hey, Lapis! Just wanted to tell you that im hosting another party. I know you might say no because of last time, but I just wanted to ask."
Me and Peri looked at each other.
"maybe we could tell them there?" I whispered to her, pulling the phone back.

She nodded, and I put it back up to ny ear.
"yeah sure we'll go."
"really? Awesome!! Its tonight at 8 pm. See you guys!"
She hung up, and I put my phone down.
"I guess one last party wouldn't hurt." she said, shrugging.
"yeah."
There was silence for a few moments until she spoke.
"well.. I guess we'll have to go through our suitcases for something to wear."
"yeah.. Well, lets start by taking showers."
She looked away and nodded. Then she started.. blushing?
"why are you blushing?"
"its just hot in here."
"hm.. Okay."

**Peridot's POV**

As soon as she said 'take showers', lewd images filled my brain. I felt my face heat up as I tried ignoring the thoughts.

"why are you blushing?" Lapis asked, which kinda spooked me.
"its just hot in here." I lied, still looking away.
"hm.. Okay."
I wasn't sure if she believed me or not, but I assumed she did.

We both took our showers. I went first, and she went after me. I wore a plain green t-shirt, along with ripped jeans, and my shoes. Lapis wore a Three Days Grace t-shirt, which she had got from a concert of theirs, with leggings and her shoes.

We passed the time by re-watching all of Camp Pining Hearts. including season 5.

It was around 8:28 pm when we finished the last episode, and we went out. The party was at the same abandoned house she had previously had a party at, and it didn't take long to get there.

There was booming music, people chatting, dancing, drinking.. Etcetera.
A good handfull of the people from our classes were there. I assume she invited EVERYBODY, which meant that Kevin guy was probably around. I knew Lapis would kick his ass again if he tried hitting on her again, though.
