Chapter 9: the name's Kevin

-one month later-

**Lapis's POV**

So we finally told the group that we were dating. They went CRAZY. Amethyst already knew but she was still obnoxiously loud about it, Pearl just smiled and congratulated us, Garnet gave a thumbs up, Ruby went crazy and gave me and Peri both noogies, Saphire was just calming Ruby down, and Steven awed at us. It was the best reaction ever. Amethyst decided to throw a party to celebrate which was a bit much. I didn't want to go, but Peridot convinced me to go with her, because how does one say no to her cute face?
"you ready, Lapis?" Peridot asked, coming out of the bathroom with a bowtie and over-alls with rainbow straps.
"Peridot, you look so nerdy and cute."
"and....?"
"and gay." I giggled.
"you dont look bad yourself."
She examined my outfit, from to bottom. I was wearing black skinny jeans with a blue striped crop top, along with my blue Velcro shoes.
"heh.. Thanks." I said, scratching the back of my head.
"whelp. Lets get going!"
She grabbed my hand and we headed out the door. Amethyst was hosting the party at an abandoned 3 story house out in the middle of no where. It was only about a mile away from campus, so it didn't take us long to walk there. We knew we were close as soon as we heard music and people chattering.
"Hey guys!" Amethyst boomed.
"hey Ame." Peri replied.
"so uh.... There might be a few drunk people hanging around... Okay maybe alot, but just ignore them. There's food and drink inside if you want any. Enjoy yourselves!" Amethyst walked off.
"hmm... Well, wanna go inside?" Peridot asked me.
"sure. Im pretty hungry."
"same here."
We walked together into the large house to find a crowd of people dancing and drinking. The smell of alchohol filled the air.
"im gonna go get some drinks, okay?"
"alright. No alchohol, right?"
"of course no alchohol. We're not even old enough." she smiled.
I smiled back and she walked off.
I was leaned against a wall for quite some time when a boy came up to me.
"hey~ *hic* whats a pretty.. Girl like you doing...Uh.. Alone?~ *hic*"
He was obviously drunk.
"I have a girlfriend. Fuck off."
"ooohh fiesty~."
He put his arms on the wall on either sides of me.
"the names.. Uh Kevin. *hic*"
His breath stunk of alchohol.
"if you dont get the hell away from me you'll regret even coming over here."
"come on, baby.~ at least dance with-"
I interrupted him by kneeing him in the nuts. He fell to his knees and I kicked him in the face. He fell back, groaning pain.
"hey Lapis I got the-" she stopped and looked at the Kevin guy.
I looked down at him as people began crowding around us.
"if you ever come close to me again, or close to my girlfriend, ill make your life complete hell."
I kicked him one last time in the stomach and everyone around us 'ooed'.
"hah! Kevin just got beat up by a girl!" someone in the crowd yelled. Everyone laughed while I grabbed the drinks Peridot got us, poured them on Kevin, then I grabbed her hand and hurried out of the building.
"what the hell happened back there?"
"he tried hitting on me, Peri. He got way too close. We're leaving."
She was silence. We walked back in silence. I was furious. I knew something bad was gonna happen. However, I was calm most of the way, keeping my bad side bottled up.

**Peridot's POV**

I was quite shocked. But I was so happy. To know that Lapis wouldn't cheat, and would actually beat up a guy who tried hitting on her. It had happnened to me one too many times, and this was a first. I was so much more than thrilled. I was broken from my thoughts as Lapis said my name. We were in front of our dorm.
"Peridot!"
"huh? What?"
"you have the key to our dorm."
"o-oh yeah.."
I pulled the key out of my pocket and unlocked the door. We stepped in as I closed the door behind us. Lapis sat down on the couch and I sat next to her and hugged her tightly.
"Peridot?"
"thank you.."
"for what?"
"for being the first person who wouldn't cheat on me."
"what do you m-" she quickly realized what I was saying. She hugged back.
"I would never cheat on such a sweet, thoughtful, funny, cute nerd."
She kissed my forehead and I smiled.
"im not cute." I said playfully.
She giggled.
She then planted kisses all over my face.
"agh! Lapis!"
I was blushing. She started to tickle me.
"ahh! Haha! No stooop!"
She tickled me more as I struggled to swipe her hands away.
I had tears in the corners of my eyes from laughing.
Lapis stopped, but I laughed for a few seconds longer, wiping the tears away. She was smiling at me at first, but then it turned to a slight smile.
"what?"
"if anyone but me tries hitting on you, or touches you, tell me. Ill make sure they get what they deserve."
I smiled and snuggled up against her. I then realized exactly what she said.
"If anyone tries hitting on you, or touches you.."
I blushed as lewd thoughts began to flood my brain. I nuzzled into her neck to hide my blush.
I thought about it again, and lauhed a bit.
"Whats so funny?" she asked.
"its funny that you're saying that, and im the wolf."
She giggled.
"yeah it is. But its true. We'll beat them up together." she smiled at me.
"heh.. Yea."

Im too lucky to have Lapis.
