Lexie was laying down on her couch with her friend Lia as the tv blared in the background.
"The only thing I can quit is life," Lexie laughed, referencing the anti-smoking commercial on the television.
"Same," Lia joined into the laughter.
"Have you ever smoked before?" The older girl asked.
"I've smoked paper," Lexie stated.
"Oh?"
"When I was eleven, there was this one time where I rolled up a giant piece of paper and then lit one end of it on fire, then put the other side of the paper in my mouth for a picture and accidentally inhaled some of the smoke."
"...Okay, but have you smoked tobacco?" Lia queried.
"No."
"Do you ever wanna get high?" Lexie broke the twelve second silence.
"I mean, yeah, but I'm afraid I would get addicted."
"I mean, we could make weed brownies tomorrow if you wanna," Lexie offered, since her dad, at the time, grew weed in their basement.
"Tomorrow?" Lia snorted.
"y e s."
"Wait, how long does it last?"
"Like, one to three hours," Lexie shrugged.
"Oh my god, sure."
Lexie and Lia were, in the moment, giggling shits on the couch.
"Let's be like The Beatles," Lia chuckled.
"Yes. I will bring my guitar, you bring your uke."
"Yes."
"Yes."

"Yeah, so uh, less than a month before I was 13, I got high with my friend Lia. Don't regret it. Never got caught," Lexie chuckled.
"...You fucking rat," Awsten kissed Lexie's neck, causing her to laugh.
"Stop! Stop!" She pushed Awsten away, because he was very aware that she is ticklish.
All of a sudden, Raven ran in the bus.
"I STOLE MAI'S CRULLERS."
