I just realised
There are certain things in life
You can't do anything about
They just come and go
Without telling you so.
Can't even begin to talk
Of how pathetic things can get...
And you just keep sitting on your fears
Not seeing there are other things other than your own life
That matter in this world...
That you need to open your eyes
And face reality.
Here you were
Crying about how life sucks,
How things seem to go wrong every time
Without reason or rhyme.
Cribbing is what all you did
To yourself or to the others.
Who cares who!
But there were things bigger than that
That could happen to me and you.
It is sad how one thinks of just oneself
Not wanting to understand things
Trying to ignore the world around.
But open your eyes, open your ears
And get accustomed to hearing other sounds
Other than your own sad song.
Today is this
Yesterday was that.
Try not make your tomorrow
A thing of the past.
Don't make yourself so,
That after a while
It's difficult to even recognize yourself.
There are others who've been through worst.
Understood
There are things you've been through...
But isn't it enough already
Aren't they things of the past anyway?
Why talk about them now
And burden yourself more?
Let bygones be bygones.
Tell yourself its' over.
Gone, long gone...
Learn from them and let them go
That's all you need to do.
Get up, smile, walk tall.
