"oh oh.. here baby.. I'm here"

You coo at areum who had started whining as she had just stirred up from her evening slumber..
You quickly pick her up and begin bouncing in order to calm her down but to no avail..

"Shh it's okay peanut" you murmur as you stretch further to pick her toy which was carelessly thrown at the edge of the bed. You knew she wasn't hungry but a little cranky which is usual for her whenever she wakes up..

You peck her head before dangling the toy right in front of her eyes, it was a cute little bunny plushie that you had recently bought her.

Well the reason you bought the toy in the first place has a story of its own..
It was this one day when you were walking areum to the park when this toy at the local store caught your attention.. you couldn't help but giggle as you looked at the toy kept at one of the stacks inside the shop. It somehow reminded you of jungkook and so it was a personal joke you'd always laugh about mentally and would even throw some jokes on that poor toy whilst you play with areum which would always make her squeal in excitement. It was her favorite toy after all..

"Cooky!" You chirp as you shake the toy, "AP..PA!" You coo slowly..
Areum had now stopped crying and her twinkling eyes gaze at the toy and back at you as you constantly murmur in her ears, planting some kisses in between on her head..

"Pah.." she mimics you while trying to catch hold of the toy
"Oh my god areum yes! Pa.. come on baby say it again!" You chuckle, it wasn't something new though she had started mimicking you saying Pa a few days ago and it was enough to make you all excited to know you achieved something really big! However a part of you always did wonder if you should even teach her to say 'Ma', you felt as though you weren't deserving for that position yet and somewhere deep down it hurts you to realize how you are only living here as a caretaker than as a part of the family..
Although jungkook wasn't aware of how areum had started mumbling 'pah' since he would barely talk to you except at times when it was really needed and you were just trying to make your relationship with him work as you had promised his mother.

Speaking of her, it has been a few weeks since she already left to busan leaving you here with jisoo and jungkook who apparently were too busy in their own life to care about you.
Jisoo wasn't ignoring you as such but she was too wrapped around with work which included going to jin's house after work.

But whatever, you were still satisfied having your cute company with you 24x7.. she had grown so fond of you that she would literally start whining if she saw you missing.
Your heart would skip a beat everytime you saw her drifting to sleep in your embrace or the times when you were able to calm her down through your melodious voice whenever she'd cry at night..
It almost makes you feel like you are actually her mother except you never gave birth to this darling angel.. Or well at least you are trying to fill in the empty space of her mother..
The mother she is not aware of, the mother who protected her from the world by providing her a warm shelter in her womb, the mother who sacrificed herself to let her angel live!
