I was woken by a light tapping at my door, however, it progressively got louder. Groaning, I slipped out of my bed and pulled open the door to see a very much awake, Kylin.

"Mornin lad! You ready for your first day!" he laughed, I only groaned. His personality definitely did not match a man-eating kelpie, nor his looks, he's just too bright. I gave him a cold stare, one that made him stop his laughter. I was going to close the door, but he grabbed my wrist. "Oi, just cause I'm bubbly doesn't mean nothin. Get your arse out here and help me wake the other lads." The surprise grab definitely woke me up, so I answered with a simple nod. "Al'ight I'll take the prince, you take the shark."

I did as asked, swimming to Alto's room, the slight physical activity waking me a bit. I banged on the door a few times and then waited, a yawn escaping as I listened for any type of movement from the inside. When I heard nothing I banged again, this time calling out Alto's name, but still no answer, so I tried the door handle. I rolled my eyes when the door opened easily. Alto was knocked out cold in his bed, snoring like a truck. I shook my head, a smile creeping up on me, swimming over to shake his shoulder.

After shaking him violently his silver eyes looked up at me, but not really seeing me. He slowly reached out to touch my face and pulled me close into a gentle kiss, making my eyes go wide. Once the shock of it faded, I pushed him off, wiping my mouth on my arm, a blush creeping onto my cheeks and ears.

"Alto what in the actual hell?" I yelled, waking him out of his half-sleep, his eyes widening.

"Oh my goodness, Frost I'm sorry. I didn't," A blush crept across his face as well. He took a deep breath calming himself. "I was having a dream about my mate. I really didn't mean that." He looked ashamed.

"I'm sorry Alto, I didn't mean to overreact. But," I lightly punched him in the arm. "if you ever do that again I will punch you in the face." We smiled.

"Awe you didn't like it, not even in the slightest?" He gave me a sly smile, my only answer was a harder punch in the gut.

After a few laughs, we calmed down. "So what kind of 'mate dream' were you having that got you so riled up?" I asked.

"Sometimes I can see through his eyes, only glimpses that don't make much sense, but enough that I know a little about him. I felt it when he was born, deep in my core, and through those first few visions, I saw that my mate was male. He's a red-head, human, has siblings and lives near water, but that's as much as I know, I don't even know his name." I rubbed soothing circles on his back. He moaned slightly. "Keep doing that and I'll kiss you again." He looked at me from the corner of his eye. "By the way, your lips are really soft." Sadly he blocked the next punch to the face.

"Are you lads up yet?" We heard through the door. We both groaned before leaving the safety of the room, meeting up with a groggy Tal and a way to awake Kylin.

The three of us followed Kylin into the bottom of the tower, and then down a flight of stone stairs, leading underground. The stairs led to a huge underground training room separated into two different parts. One side had a shield and sword motif etched into the stone floor. The other side had a tree with fire at its base and snowflakes falling from the sky, while swirls of magic flowed around it all.

Kylin led us to the shield and sword side where weapons lined the walls on racks and leaned against stands. Weapons of all sorts gleamed in the light of the large blue-fire Celtic chandelier, which hung in the center of the room. Other smaller sconces lined the walls to light what the main flame could not.

Kylin turned to us and smiled, his hands on his hips. "You lad's ready?" When we nodded he motioned to the weapons behind him. "Grab what your comfortable with, that way I get a better idea of who you are. A soldier ken learn moore about someone through a sparring match then through words." Talon and I immediately moved to find similar weapons to what we use, Talon grabbing a hand scythe, and I grabbed a halberd. Alto, however, looked dumbfounded, he looked over the weapons but didn't grab anything, so I swam over to him.

"Never used a weapon before have you?" I patted his shoulder and he shook his head.

"That's al'ight lad. We'll find ya somthin." Kylin had come behind us, mirroring my motion. The kelpie looked at what I chose and then at what Talon had picked, before humming to himself. "Frost here is a mid to long range attacker, Talon is mid to short range so you need something either long or short range to balance it out." Kylin's long hair flowed as he looked at the many weapons that surrounded us, his eyes and smile widening when he found something.
