The next morning, the three of us gathered what little things we had. Today was the day that we would set off to seal Leviathan once and for all. We spent all night last night planning our route. We would head through Panama, either on land or through the canal, and swim the rest of the way to the Mariana trench. This way was quick, taking a day to cross Panama and a week, at most, through the open ocean to the trench.

The three of us met up outside in the large garden where we first saw Gareth. The dragon king smiled as we approached, Kylin and Leora stood at his side. Each of the three carried a large bag filled with supplies for the journey ahead.

"Be careful for you have many trials ahead of you, my friends. As King, I should go with you, but I cannot, I hope you can forgive me." Gareth smiled sadly.

"That's alright M'lord, we just hope we can live up to your expectations." Talon grasped his hands in thanks as Gareth handed him a large cloth bag. Alto received his from Kylin, who grabbed his shoulder with a smile. Leora handed me my own bag, with a simple chaste kiss to the cheek.

The three royals followed us back out of the hallway back into the main chamber of Dean's Blue Hole. We waved a final goodbye as we passed through the illusion barrier, that fooled us when we first arrived.

"You guys ready for this?" Talon lifted a glowing fist, which Alto and I touched with our fists with a cheer.

Thankfully we decided to leave early in the morning when most humans would still be asleep, this made leaving the hole unnoticed, far easier. Under Talon's orders, I sent an echolocation signal towards the general direction of where Venus and Jupiter were, telling them that we were back. Venus sang her song back and she and Jupiter appeared a moment later.

"Shall we get going then?" Alto yelled, the light shining off of his teeth. With that, we were off to a good start. We started heading South in order to pass in between the two islands of Cuba and Haiti after we pass those we will start heading SouthWest to Panama.

"Man I'm so nervous. Gareth said she's gonna be powerful but we really don't know how powerful." Talon rubbed his hands on his arms, his eyes filled with worry.

"Hey don't say that. You are our leader, any good leader knows not to show fear lest his troops run." I joked, but it was true. After one of our more difficult training sessions with Kylin, we unanimously voted that Talon was our de facto leader, mainly since he was a prince. Talon, at first, waved it off saying that I should be the leader since we were here because of me, but I brought up the whole 'royal' thing, and he accepted. I had, however, unwillingly taken on the title of 'group mom', whatever that meant.

Talon laughed with a 'Yeah you're right, as usual, mom.' and I simply rolled my eyes. A loud horn cut through our conversation, silencing me. At first, we thought nothing of it, these were human waters, boats would be around. Only when a familiar spear scratch my arm, did I realize what it was.

"Shit! Dive, everyone dive!" I yelled. Venus and Jupiter, who also realized what it was, immediately dove as deep as they could, my brothers, on the other hand, did not.

"What the hell what's going on?" Talon yelled. I shouted only one word, 'whaler' and their eyes widened and began to dive as I brought up the rear. Adrenaline pushed me to go faster, but not fast enough, as I felt a blinding pain flash through my whole body. I looked and yelled, a spear had pierced my tail, but what scared me is that it had a cord attached to it, which was reeling me in. Alto yelled swimming back up to me, his secondary dagger drawn.

"No you keep going, I'll be fine," I yelled to him, not wanting him to get captured too, his eyes were sad and regretful, but he nodded and sheathed his dagger.

I screamed as I was yanked into the air by the spear in my tail, silvery blood seeping from the wound. I grasped the metal cable, clinging to it so that I wasn't ripping open the wound more. I was grappled by the men on the ship, many of them with a look of wonder in their eyes, but they soon backed away as a blonde bearded man made his way to the front.

"My, my look what we have here." He smiled with a malicious grin, his eyes shimmering with hatred, and he laughed as he kicked me in the stomach. His large hand grabbed me by my hair as he raised my head to his eye level. "Why, we have here a murdering monster who killed several innocent people." He punched me several times, splitting my lip and breaking my nose. "Well, what do you have to say for yourself monster?" I only groaned in response, before passing out.
