It was dark by the time we saw the city's skyline. It was beautiful. Some of the skyscrapers had bright lights on the tops while others just had their lights on. It looked like millions of stars. Los Angeles was unlike any city I'd have ever seen full of people and cars. While Talon, Alto and I were admiring the streets and lights, Ethan was huffing and growling at the traffic. I patted him on the shoulder trying to calm him down. He only gave me a small smile. We followed Xion through the busy streets of Los Angeles passing by skyscrapers, businesses and all sorts of buildings. Eventually, skyscrapers turned into apartment buildings and even normal homes. The further away from the main city, we drove the more the air smelled more and more like the ocean.

Soon we could finally see the sea. We followed the red sports car until we came to a parking lot of a beautiful place. It was a long wooden dock with a rollercoaster and a Ferris wheel of bright lights. We parked next to her and she opened her door and got out, we followed her example. I was in pure awe at the sight of all the people.

Xion pointed down the street past the pier. "Keep going South, that way and you should be able to find a spot without too many people where you can slip into the water. I wish you boys luck, but this is where we part ways, my friends." She smiled and pulled each one of us into a tight bear hug. I grunted, surprised by her strength.

"Thank you for everything Xion." I smiled grabbing her shoulder with a squeeze. She reciprocated the motion. Talon pulled her into a tight squeeze, his shoulder muscles flexing with his grip. She hugged him back just as hard a sad smile on her face.

"I'll try to get in touch with Lady Silinia and explain who I am and what not to her. That way I can convince her to, at least, let us be friends." She looked up at him, who stood at least a foot above her. He smirked before placing a sweet gentle kiss to her lips. She smiled softly as he pulled away, placing a hand on his face.

She turned back to us with hands on her hips. "I'll see you guys again, I promise!" She almost yelled, her voice loud as a grin was plastered on her face.

"Good luck on your hunt, Xion. Try not to get hurt." Alto raised his hand in a high five. She slapped his hand, making a loud smack and the shark quickly pulled his hand away. I rolled my eyes before placing my hand out, palm down. Talon placed his on mine, followed by Alto, Ethan, and Xion. We nodded our heads, a silent agreement made. We parted and watched as the assassin climbed back into her car and drive off.

"Well let's go, shall we. You guys have a mission to do." Ethan opened his door and climbed into the black jeep. We followed and soon drove off to find a secluded place.

Just as Xion said, the crowds of people dissipated, eventually, the beaches seemed completely abandoned. Ethan parked in a spot away from homes. We got out and took off our shoes, before walking on the sandy beach. The full moon reflected off the still water as if another moon was locked under the rippling water. The salty sea air filled my lungs and the sound of the gentle coming and going of the water was like music to my ears.

"So," Ethan patted the back of my shoulder, his eyes entranced on the beautiful water. "this is where you and I say goodbye." He looked at me from the corner of his eye. His emerald eyes shined as wet tears fell down his cheeks. "I'm going to miss you, Frost. In the short time that I knew you, I have realized just how much I've missed out on. I've lived my life either in my room or out at sea. I haven't really had friends much less four of the best." His tears fell freely down his face. He tried hiding them by sinking into a crouch, hiding his face behind his knees. I knelt beside him and pulled him into a hug.

"Like Xion said earlier, we'll see each other again. This won't be the last time you'll see us. You can't get rid of us that easily." I stood and held out a hand to him. He looked up and hesitantly took it, using it as leverage as he stood. Talon came up behind him and ruffled his hair with a grin. Alto wrapped an arm around his waist before pulling him into a quick gentle kiss.

"You know I never said it, but Ethan. You are my materu, not just my friend, and as your materu, I promise that we will make it back." After pressing a small peck to his cheek, Alto began walking toward the ocean. We caught up to him, ripping our shirts over our heads and unbuttoning our pants, letting them slide down our knees. We took off the last remaining garment before walking deeper into the water. As soon as we did this our legs disappeared and our tails took their place. Ethan's eyes widened as he saw them, mouthing 'beautiful'. We waved to the boy before swimming into the waters.
