"Well you look like you could use a drink." I said to the tall, tan man who sat at the bar of the coffee shop.

"To bad we don't serve the drink you need." I said and his once stone face broke into a light smile.

"So what do you got?" The mystery man asked and I smiled.

"Well there's a bunch of different kinds of expensive coffee drinks but for you I can make my famous hot chocolate." I said and a smirk made its way to his face.

"What's so famous about it?" He asked as I turned to make the drink.

"Oh you'll see." I said adding whip cream and sprinkling some cinnamon on top.

"Thank you." He said as I put the steaming mug in front of him as I nodded.

I watched as he took his first sip, his eyes widened.

"This is really good, I see why it's famous." He said with a chuckle.

"Sam." He said reaching over the counter and holding out his hand.

"Lydia." I said and shook his head. As our eyes linked we stared at each other for a brief moment as we continued to shake hands.

Realizing how weird this was I pulled away quickly causing him to awkwardly cough.

"So Sam I'm guessing your from the reservation." I said grabbing a towel from under the bar and wiping down the counter.

"What gave it away?" He asked sarcastically and I gave a short laugh.

"Seeing as I'm the color of an actual ghost and your well.." I trailed off and he chuckled.

"The Rez is great, you gotta try cliff diving." Sam said and I was partly confused.

"Cliff diving as in jumping off a cliff? I don't think that'll end well." I said and he laughed.

"Into the ocean-" He said and as I nodded my boss peaked out his office window.

"Close in five kid." He said before going back to whatever he was doing.

"I guess I'll get out of your hair." Sam said throwing a five dollar bill on the counter.

"It's on the house." I said but he smiled and shook his head.

"Keep it it'll pay for tomorrow." He said and I looked up from the counter confused.

"Don't think I'll be able to go a day without your famous hot chocolate." Sam said with a smile before walking out of the coffee shop.
