"Lydia." Esmae said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yes?" I said my head turning in her direction.

"You're up kid." Emmett said sitting next to me and wrapping a comforting arm around me.  Seeing as Rose was no where in sight, I guess she already voted.

"I don't think I should be involved in this." I said and Bella gave me a pleading look.

"I'm not a vampire or a wolf, so I-I don't want to be involved in this." I said and Bella walked over and sat on the other side of me.

"Is it Edward? Is he pressuring you to say no?" Bella asked in a hush tone even though everyone in the room could hear her.

"No well I mean he did ask me to vote no but this isn't about him. This isn't normal, this shouldn't be reality. I'm sorry." I said as I stood up to walk away but Bella jumped up to stop me.

"Lydia please. Your opinion is very important to me." She said and I sighed.

"Do what's going to make you happy Bella. That's my vote." I said picking up my bag and walking down the stairs.

I was already outside in my car when Edward sped out of the house and in less than a blink of an eye was in the passenger seat of the car.

"I'm sorry but you were never going to win that debate." I said as I was putting my seatbelt on.

"I should be the one to apologize, Lydia. You were right I should of never left and I'm sorry. I promise-" He went to say but I cut him off.

"We were sitting in your car when you made the same promise and you broke that." I said and he sighed.

"I won't brake my promises to you not ever again." He said and I looked away slightly.

"Okay, then how about a new promise." I said and he nodded.

"I promise that I'll always be there for you Lydia, even if you don't need me I'll be there." He said and I looked down to my lap with a smile.

"So do you want to talk about what happened? Jasper said how you reek of guilt." He asked and I sighed.

"In the car last night you already know how I was thinking about what Luke said. He told me to look for him which made no sense as he was standing right in front of me. So when I got home I was going to look for him." I began explaining as we just sat in my car that stood still.

"Jacob was there. Alice told me about the imprint I assumed you wanted to be alone with him." He said and I scoffed.

"We got into a fight but while he was talking and I was ignoring him I found a loose floor board he had the herbs Carlisle prescribe me and an old book. Luke knew everything. He wasn't going to let me become a banshee because that's when they'll come for me." I explained and Edward looked out the window in thought.
