"Are you sure you don't want the extra ticket. Edward said he was willing to sit this one out." Bella said and I looked away awkwardly.

Alice had a vision that the red head vampire known as Victoria would be making an appearance tomorrow so Ed's leaving town with her.

"No I uh, I haven't really had much free time with Ed's suicide attempt to Jacob hating me and then Josh and I dating then to us fighting about Jacob-what I'm trying to say is I miss my pups, so this weekend is hopefully consisting of me at the Rez." I said and she nodded softly.

"I don't think he hates you. I think he's confused and scared and very very stupid." Bella said and I laugh lightly.

"Have you-" I trailed off but Bella understood.

"He won't answer my calls." She said and I scoffed.

"All he does is call, I-I just don't know what to say to him." I said and she frowned.

"Maybe that's why you've been avoiding the Rez lately. I mean Paul had to show up to school to get you to agree to go the that dinner and to be honest you haven't been that busy. You spent last week binge watching some show with Alice." Bella said and I was slightly stunned, I guess no one's ever been that honest with me.

"Don't frown someone could be falling in love with your smile." Bella said being the friend I really needed right now.

"Thanks Bella. I'll let you pack, I'm going to head home for the night." I said sitting up from her bed.

"I'll see you when we get back." She said and I nodded before leaving her.

"Oh Lydia's back!" Embry said as I walked into Jacob's garage.

"Lydia?" Jacob said surprised as he went to quickly get out from under the car causing him to fall in the process.

"Are you okay?" I asking surprising myself as I quickly rushed over to his side on the ground.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He said with a slight twinkle in his eyes.

"You think this is bad, you should've heard his endless pining." Quil said interrupting the moment as Jake visibly stiffened.

"Maybe I should call Lydia again." Embry said in a mimicking tone.

"Maybe I should call her and hang up." Quil added the boys laughing at Jacob's embarrassment.

"Alright that's enough." He said pulling himself off the ground.

"Maybe I should apologize." Embry said continuing they're banter.

"God why am I such an idiot." Quil said both boys erupting with laughter, they even got a small laugh out of me.

"Guys!" Jacob yelled causing both of them to shut up quickly.

"Is it not true?" I asked trying to defuse the situation.

"What-no." Jacob said but stopping himself quickly before he made it worst, the boys quickly made an exit to avoid being in the middle of this conflict.

"This isn't how I wanted this to go." Jacob said with a sigh,a small pout on his lips.

"If I'm being honest with you I came here to ask you to return Bella's calls, she's worried about you." I said and he looked away.

"I didn't think it'd be right for me to see her until I saw you." Jacob said and my brows scrunched in confusion.

"Why's that?" I asked causing him to sigh but he didn't say a word. It took me a moment to realize what had happened.

"You heard Sam's thoughts didn't you?" I asked and his head turned towards me.

"Lydia you are not Bella-" He went to say and I stopped him.

"I know that Jacob and I made my peace with it." I said but he was quick to interject.

"No Lydia you aren't getting it, you aren't Bella, you and her don't even rank in the same category. She's my best friend, that it. You, your my life, my future." He said not even needing a moment to take a second breath.

"Jacob-" I said feeling very overwhelmed by his previous statement.

"No I'm sorry I didn't mean to freak you out I-I just wanna fix what I did. I want to be friends again." He said and it was like a huge weight had lifted off my shoulders.

"Okay Jacob let's be friends." I said my smile matching his.

"For starters, you can call me Jake. Jacob is just so formal." He said and I chuckled.

"I actually like the name it suits you well." I said and his smile never faulter, knowing this girl had already had him wrapped around her finger.

"So I heard about you and the marshmallow. Nice to see he finally grew a pair." Jacob said causing him to see the smile he's been craving to see.

"Lydia, it's Paul." Those three words coming from the other end of the phone caused me to with ease drop everything and rush over.

They were like two wild animals, who am I kidding they were two wild animals. Neck at neck, hissing at each other.

Carlisle trusting the look in Sam's eyes sped her down to the scene but refused to leave the Reservation Territory.

Running right past Emmett to Paul who was still shifted, I grabbed his furry face and dropped to my knees making him look at me.

"Hey Paul, Paul it's Lydia. Calm down." I said and he sneezed, growled slightly as he shook of my grip.

"Lydia!" Emmett yelled, him being very serious.

"Leave her!" Carlisle yelled causing Emmett to back away slowly from the wolf and the kneeled girl.

"Don't you huff at me! Use your mantra." I said forcefully grabbing his face causing a very tall wolf to growl but he went completely ignored.

Everyone but Paul, Sam, and Jared watched in amazement as the wolf's eyes sparkled as he stared at the girl he grew to love, his best friend. Paul took a few steps away before turning and running into the woods.

Paul's thoughts hit Jacob like daggers to his chest, one by one Jacob was indeed jealous. It was his imprint, not Paul's, sure the hell not Josh's and yet it seemed like everyone else had some wolfie claim on her.

The tall tan wolf let a roar slip that echoed around the woods before he ran away.

"Jacob." I let his name slip my lips as I watched the wolf run away.

I turned away to look to Carlisle who was walking up behind me.

"What the hell happened?" I asked as I heard the wolves turn to run towards the Rez.

"Victoria."
