"Emily it smells amazing in here," I said walking into the house. It was supposed to just be Sam, Emily, and I but when I had gotten there the kitchen was full.
"What's all this about?" I asked seeing, Jared, Kim, Paul, Rachel, and even Josh and Leah all in the house as well.
"Lydia, come sit," Sam said and I gave him a hard stare.
"Is this an intervention? Because I only drink occasionally and I-" I went off in a ramble causing Sam's serious look to drop.
"I talked to Carlisle." He said and my face dropped as well.
"That was private. I-I thought you only talked to Edward." I said nervously.
"Loca, we want to help you. Breaking the imprint isn't the way." Jared said taking a step forward.
"Carlisle can't help me anyway," I said ignoring as Rachel rolled her eyes.
"Why Lydia? Why would you want that? I know things haven't been great with Jacob but this isn't the answer." Paul asked shrugging off his annoying imprint.
"Jacob and I were fine before the imprint. Everything was fine before he shifted." I said and even Sam rolled his eyes.
"He was there for you when the Cullen's left," Sam said and I shook my head.
"No, he was there for Bella. I had Paul and Jared, and you Sam." I said and Paul perked up.
"So this is about Bella." He said finally putting the pieces together.
"No-come on don't do this, guys. I don't need this." I said and Josh slammed his hand down startling everyone in the room.
"No, you do! Lydia imprint or not you've always loved Jacob! I don't give a damn what you say! Ever since Edward left, I knew it when I came home and I saw you with him-Lydia you can't keep pushing him away." Josh said he was so tired of seeing her unhappy. He promised Luke he'd take care of her, he felt like he was failing.
"And what even after everything he still wants her? I can't keep going down this spiral. I want to end it before-" I went to say but Josh cut me off walking forward, everyone just watched.
"Before what Lyd, what are you worried about?" Josh said and I took a step back. I couldn't say. I had a plan, a plan that could cost me my life.
"You wanna know what I think?" Rachel asked while Paul's eyes just widened.
"I really don't," I said and she just shrugged.
"I think you're afraid to be happy," Rachel said and I sighed.
"Rach-" Paul said but it was too late. She had already spoken her mind.
"No Paul she's right," I mumbled. She wasn't. I was afraid to take away Jacob's happiness when I was gone.
"I'm sure lunch would've been delicious but I should probably get to Ed's," I said and Sam perked up.
"Carlisle said he wasn't home yet," Sam said squinting his eyes.
"They get in today. Why Sam? Miss your buddy who can feed you my every thought?" I asked sarcastically.
"Tell him to give me a call." He said in a serious tone.
"Fine. Oh, and keep your thoughts clear when you shift. Bella doesn't want Jacob knowing she's home." I said and the boys in the room groaned.
"He's going to want to check on her, to make sure she's still human," Rachel said and I sighed.
"She is still human. She just doesn't need him breathing down her neck." I said and she rolled her eyes.
"Well, Bella should get over herself. She hasn't been a thought in his mind since the wedding."

"Sorry, I'm late. I had lunch plans with Sam." I said walking into the Cullen house. Immediately I saw Bella sitting on the couch with a frown while Alice and Jasper stood away in the corner of the room.
"Bells, welcome home," I said and she just looked up with a frown. I walked over to the couch and sat next to her, wrapping an arm around her.
"He hates it. Lydia, I need your help." She said her voice breaking.
"This isn't anyone's choice but yours. I got your back." I said squeezing her gently as I sent her a wink.
"Auntie Lydia's got your back," I said lightly touching her stomach. She smiled.
I stood up and turned back seeing Rose, staring at us with a smile. She had that proud mother smile. I walked over to her and stood beside her, looking back at Bella.
"Carlisle's upstairs telling Edward that he doesn't believe she'll survive the full pregnancy," Rose said and I frowned.
"She'll make it. He needs to have some faith, she's strong." I said and Rose just smiled as I walked up the stairs to Carlisle's office.
"I'll let you two talk." Carlisle immediately left his office, he knew Edward wanted to talk to her alone.
"Listen, Ed-" I went to say but he immediately cut me off.
"Carlisle said she'd be lucky to live to her second trimester. Three months Lydia." Edward said in such despair
"I know you're scared and I know you can't live without her but she deserves to make her own decision. You can't force her to get rid of the baby!" I said fighting for Bella. She deserved at least that.
"But Lydia if you could just talk to her." He said and I stopped him.
"No Ed. That's how it started, just talk to her, make her do this, make her feel this. Let her make her own decisions, for once." I said and he turned around and looked out the long window.
"And if it's her last?" He said just above a whisper.
"Then she won't go out without a fight," I said putting a hand on his shoulder making him turn back to me.
"And don't act as you've never thought about kids. Personally, I think auntie Lydia has a nice ring to it." I said pulling him into a hug.
"I know you can't live without her."
I kept my thoughts clear the entire time I was near Edward, I had finally learned to do that. He couldn't know what I was planning. If Josh couldn't save Luke, then maybe it was my turn to try. The Vulturi would want me now that I transitioned and if Bella dies from this pregnancy, then Edward couldn't stop me from trading myself for Luke. I could save him. I would just have to give up Jacob.
