"A whole weekend in Arizona and your still as pale as a ghost." I said seeing Bella and Edward walk into the living room of the Cullen home.

"Say's the ghost who's always at the Rez." Bella said back causing me to smile.

"Toché." I said as we shared a laugh, Edward's face remaining plain.

"II faut qu'on parle." Ed said copying my fluent French reply to his fiancé. He wanted to talk but didn't want to have to explain it to her. I stood up and began following him out of the room.

"What's going on?" Bella asked and I shrugged.

"It's time for my herbs." I said and she nodded going about it like it was normal, and honestly it was for us.

"What exactly happened?" Edward asked when we were upstairs in Carlisle's office as he opened the draw my herbs were kept in.

"Victoria jumped over the treaty line, and so did Emmett I just had to go there and make sure he didn't kill him." I said and Edward looked at the door before looking back.

"Emmett said he could of taken him on." Ed said and I rolled my eyes.

"Keep thinking that you big oof." I said knowing he could hear me causing Ed to crack a smile.

"But everything else is okay?" He asked handing me a cup mixture of my herbs causing me to smile.

"I made up with Jacob." I said and his face went cold.

"What about Josh, are you-" Ed went to say but I stopped him.

"No we're still together, Jake and I decided to be friends." I said and tried my best to ignore Ed's uneasy look.

"And you're okay with that?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Perfectly content and before you go off gossiping to your girlfriend Sammy at least give Jake and I a chance to make being friends work." I said and Ed squinted catching the nickname twice now.

"That's new." Edward pointed it out but as usual I was blind to it.

"What is?" I asked putting the small cup back into the drawer that Carlisle kept for me.

"The nickname and the tone of your voice, I don't think I've ever heard you speak his name like that." He said and I just rolled my eyes.

"Don't read to far into it, you thoughts stalker." I said and he just chuckled lightly as he mocked a defense.

"Let's get to school I wanna get this day over with since I get to see Josh later." I said and he looked away hesitantly as I walked out of the room and downstairs to where Bella sat on the couch.
