"Seth, sweetheart you know I could never be mad at you. Just tell me what you did." I said on the phone with the young boy. I had left him alone at the cafe for an hour so I could run to the bank. What a mistake that must've been.

"Edward came by looking for you and I might've let it slip of where you were," Seth said and I rolled my eyes.

"That's it?" I said and instinctively he nodded even though she couldn't see him.

"Get back to work. I'll be there soon." I said with a chuckle as I hung up the phone.

"It must be nice having a puppy as a bodyguard," Edward said from beside me startling me.

"Jesus Christ Ed, I'm not into the whole stalker thing like Bella is," I said and he just chuckled as he put his hand on my waist to guide me out of the bank.

"I've been meaning to talk to you about everything." He said getting us out to the sidewalk.

"I wanted to thank you for calling your mother, she's been a tremendous amount of help." He said and I shrugged. It's not like I did much.

"And I wanted to thank you for what you're going to do for Bella and me. I don't deserve to have someone as great as you in my life." He said and I smiled.

"Thank Jacob, he's our ride out of there," I said and he chuckled.

"Can I ask how you've been feeling lately?" Edward asked. He knew the clock was counting down and it was getting closer and closer till when the snow would fall.

"I feel fine. I've been a little nauseous but I think it's just the stress of Marie being home." I said and he stopped and stared at him.

"Why are you blocking me from your thoughts?" He asked and I just laughed.

"Because Edward, maybe there's some personal intimate details of my life that I'd rather you not even get a glimpse of if you know what I mean." I swiftly lied as I sent him a wink. He just scoffed in disgust.

"You promise?" He asked and I rolled my eyes as we stopped in front of the coffee shop. I felt for him, he was a new father who almost lost his wife and daughter not even over a year ago. I just pulled his cold body into a hug.

"I've always had your back, Ed. Just trust me, you know I'd do anything for you guys." I said just meaning that. I'd do anything, even if that meant I didn't come out of this.

"I see you soon, get home to your girls," I said walking into the cafe. I started to feel nauseous again. I walked into the back and into the bathroom, I almost didn't make it to the toilet before I threw up.

When I was finished I washed my hands and stared at my reflection in the mirror. It had to be the stress I kept telling myself, maybe it's a banshee thing.

Leaving the bathroom, I popped a piece of gum in my mouth. "Seth when Jake gets here tell him to come back to the office!" I yelled up to the boy who manned the front counter.

"Ooooo!" The boy teased and I just laughed as I walked back to my office to do some paperwork.

As I began writing out checks I noticed the date I was repeatedly writing. "You've got to be fucking kidding me." I snapped as I slammed my pen down. This couldn't be worse timing.

"Hey, babe," Jacob said walking in and kissing my cheek. "Hey," I said a little awkwardly as I leaned away slightly.

"Seth said you needed something." He said and I nodded.

"I actually have to head out but uh there's been a change of plans for the fight. Bella wants you to take Ness if things start to get back, she wants you to run and get far away." I said as I began loudly moving around papers looking for my phone.

"What about you?" He asked squinting his eyes a bit. I was apart of Bella's plan but because of my mother's words I had to change it.

"Seth or someone will get me, I'm sure the Cullen's will set up a safe house or something," I said grabbing my phone and purse before kissing his cheek.

"Where are you going?" He called out as I was almost out the door.

"Emily needs me, apparently it's a wedding emergency," I said kissing his cheek before running out again. Jacob couldn't help but think about how he knew Emily was busy at her sisters or how Lydia herself paid a planner to take care of the wedding but he trusted her so he didn't say a word.

"Just this please," I said at a drugstore in Port Angles as I threw an early action pregnancy test on the counter.

"Are you hoping for a boy or a girl?"  The woman asked and I chucked as she handed me my bag.

"A negative. Do you have a bathroom?" I asked harshly as I took the bag from her. She pointed to the back of the store and I quickly rushed there before getting into a stall and taking the test.

Positive. I couldn't believe it as I fumbled and dropped the test on the floor. I was barely a month pregnant I knew it was too premature to really be anything. I knew it couldn't change anything.

When I reached down the pick up the test, I knocked my purse over, and a paper slipped out. I forget all about the paper Emmett had giving me.

I bent down to pick it up and read,

Dear Lydia,
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you in person but we had to leave right away.  We left to protect you, the both of you. Please, Lydia, have faith in us. Jasper and I both love you dearly. I saw something and I know you must've felt it too. Jasper and I are going to find a better way to help stop this so please don't do anything you'll regret.

We love you,
Alice
P.S Congratulations, to you and Jacob. You too will make great parents one day.

With tears streaming down my face I stumbled to grab my purse and the positive test before rushing out of the bathroom to the exit.

The cashier seeing the crying girl running out the door yelled, "Congratulations!"

When I got to my car I just slammed my hands repeatedly on the steering wheel as I cried out in frustration. I grabbed my phone and called Alice listening to the phone ring. When I finally hit her voicemail I broke to my lowest point.

"Alice I'm freaking out. I need you to come home. I need you to come home and tell me that everything's going to be okay, that the test doesn't mean anything. I need you to tell me what you saw and promise me everything's going to be okay. I can't do right by everyone! If I do it I could die and if I don't then everyone else could die. The voices were calling for him and I know you saw it too.  Please, please just help me and tell me what to do! Please, Alice, I need you."

Hanging up I continued in a fit of sobs. Now for sure, there was no way of winning this fight. If she wasn't strong enough she wouldn't just kill herself, she'd kill Jacob's child.
