Frost watched with wide eyes as his boss emerged from the thick bubbling liquid, slowly, carefully. He held another body completely covered in the viscous fluid. With a sigh, Frost approached his boss and helped bring the body out of the vat. Immediately, Joker began blowing into her mouth, to Frost's surprise administering CPR the adequate way. Within seconds, the girl below him began to cough and J couldn't help but smile wide at this.

He leaned back and helped the girl sit up. She looked frantically around her, her eyes half open and yet she was fully alert.

"What...where..." she looked down at her hands in disbelief.
The grin on Jokers face couldn't be any bigger as he instructed Frost to help her up. She stood on wobbly feet but she couldn't comprehend where she was or who was helping her. She was completely blank, trying to adjust back to life.

"Showers, Frosty. I'll be there soon." J instructed as he began wiping the liquid off his body as much as he could.
Frost helped the girl walk to a door and then pushed it open. It was the skeleton of a locker room but the spring for the shower head was still hooked.
J knew the ins and outs of this chemical plant, he used to work here a lifetime ago.

Frost helped settle her on the floor beneath the spring as J walked in slowly, his eyes glued to her.

"Wait in the car. I'll be out in a second," J breathed as he noticed Scarlett's body, her clothes were eaten up by the chemicals and her flesh was exposed. He saw her nipples and even down to her private jewels, which she made no effort to cover up.

He growled to himself as Frost stepped out of the room and he stepped closer to her. Slowly.
Ignoring his own urges he helped her up and turned the knob of the spring, causing water to flow right over them. He began to wash the slimy goo off her, making her sigh and relax in his arms.

He was slow and gentle, even surprising himself. Why was he being like this? He mentally berated himself thinking he was going soft but another growl ripped through his throat, in response to his own thoughts.

After many agonizing minutes, he had washed all of the slime off of her and himself and they were both clean. Not a single word was exchanged as he helped her back to the van. Frost began to drive and she looked out of the window in pure fascination at the fading lights. She had been incredibly dizzy but she gave in to whatever she felt. She was too weak and confused to question anything right now. She needed to sleep.

Meanwhile J watched her every move. She was pretty calm for having just been revived, her mind seemed to be completely dormant. Her stare was fixed and her eyes, dull. Even he wouldn't have adjusted that well to the normalcy of life in such a short period but he wasn't right in the head anyway.

As they approached their destination, she stared in awe at the sight before her. Turning to J, she looked at him confused.

"Where are we?" She asked.

He hesitated before answering her, what would he say? Home? His home? Their shared home, to avoid complications? He just didn't feel like answering questions.

"This is where I spend some time..." he replied. Way to complicate things.

"Yo, boss. You want the guys in there tonight? Or just out at the usual posts." Frost asked as he removed the keys from the ignition.

"I want you all out." Joker bit as he hopped out of the car, looking around cautiously before turning back to grab Scarlett's hand. Frost watched his boss as he led her inside. Joker held her file in one hand and her hand with the other.

Before closing the door, J narrowed his eyes at Frost. Frost got the hint and turned back to the car.

He'd have the night off.
