Ivy pounded on the massive double doors of the clowns estate. They were embellished with expensive rhinestones and two jester skulls stared back at her as she pounded her fists on the door.
Within seconds, a bearded man opened the door, one hand on the gun on his waist. Ivy walked past him without a second thought, stomping over to where Joker and Scarlett stood waiting for her.
"Clown!!" She growled as she took in Scarlett's appearance. "What did you do to her?!"
"Relax, Pammy, she's doing just fine haha," Joker laughed as he put his hands up, backing away from her.
Ivy looked skeptically at Scarlett. She had the same gorgeous features but her skin tone was chalk white, like she was still dead. Her eyes had dark red circles around them and the blue of her eyes popped in contrast.
"Scarlett?" Ivy asked, to which the other girl smiled in response.
"You must be Ivy," she said, extending her arm politely.
Ivy looked at Scarlett confused and then back at Joker.
"She doesn't remember me?" Ivy asked, slightly hurt.
"It's either a side effect of the acid, her dying, the shock therapy, or maybe all. I don't know. I was hoping you could fix that," Joker explained. Ivy nodded and scanned over Scarlett.
"No visible scars, no bruises or blood stains. She seems well-fed and weirdly, she's all smiles," Ivy sighed in relief. She felt a little better knowing the girl was being taken care of despite being under the care of a complete and utter lunatic.
"I just...don't remember anything beyond these two weeks. I just know my name is Scarlett cause Joker keeps calling me that," Scarlett explained. Ivy nodded and looked on at Joker.
"Alright giggles, I actually do have a memory retention serum but nothing yet of bringing back memories. I can modify it but it's gonna take time." She explained.
"That's fine," he nodded, "you can use my facilities in downtown Gotham, I have a group of scientists working there 24/7 for me. They can provide anything you need, no matter how..immoral or impossible."
"Immoral?" Ivy scoffed. "Not surprised." She muttered. "That's fine by me."
"Good." Joker smiled darkly.
"Boss, we still on for today? It's Milo's guy's callin' to confirm tonight." Frost said as he held a phone in his grasp.
"He knows where I'll be," Joker muttered. Frost nodded.
Ivy kept studying Scarlett, her eyes scanning over the weary girls's. "You seem a bit tired."
"No, just bored. I haven't left the house yet." Scarlett sighed.
"Well, not that I would encourage the clown to take you out, because darling, i wouldn't. But you really should go out, it'll give you a nice change of perspective...you know, from being around this lunatic," Ivy whispered the last part, causing Scarlett to giggle.
"He's been good to me, really good. I just don't remember if he's anyone from my past...like a lover or--"
"Oh sweetheart no! Listen, I have an idea. I don't like going to any of the clown's territories but tonight when he's out doing business we can dress up and go out too." Ivy smiled warmly, relishing the smile on Scarlett's face.
"Really?! I would love that!" Scarlett exclaimed.
Joker cleared his throat. "Yes, you'd be at my place under my supervision."
"Always such a buzzkill." Ivy muttered and turned her focus back to Scarlett. "How 'bout I doll you up and we can tease some men." Ivy winked, causing Scarlett to giggle. The two girls walked arm in arm up the stairs to where Scarlett's room was.
