Chapter 35

Adrianna's pov

It was already five days since I confessed my feelings to willy, five days since I last saw him, five days since I last heard from him.
Did I scare him away?

Andreas proposed to Chloe two days earlier. I helped him plan everything. Chloe and I always talked about our dream type of proposal so I helped my brother make her dream come true. It was a beautiful proposal.

Anna already left and travelled back home to my parents I told her I would come around soon.

I wondered what was wrong with Willy i called severally and got no response. The kids left several messages but for no response either. I really hope all was good with him.

Willy's pov

As I left Miranda's house and headed towards Adrie's place, I got a call from my mum.

"Hey mum, how are you".

"Willy your dad is dying"

"Wait what?" I screamed as I hurriedly parked the car.

"He's really sick son, he's dying. I don't know what else to do please come home I beg you".

"Take it easy mum, I'm taking the next available flight,  I'll be there in four hours".

"please hurry"

"Oh no"I screamed hitting the steering .

Adrie, I love you but I have to go see my dad I said to no one in particular i picked up my phone to call her and let her know but suddenly tire was no service .

Are you kidding me?
I reversed and drove to the airport immediately I still had no service.
" Good afternoon miss" I said to the lady at the counter.

"Good afternoon sir,how may I be of help to you?"
"I need to be on the next available flight to California this minute please its a matte of life and death".

"Okay sir, the flight available right now, the passengers have already boarded they are leaving in 6 minutes the next flight is to leave in an hour so sir you have to wait".

"ARE KIDDING ME? I NEED TO LEAVE THIS PLACE NOW, GET ME ON THAT PLANE OR I PROMISE YOU WILL BE OUT OF JOB FOR LIFE".

I know it was wrong to scream at her but I really needed to get going.

"Good afternoon sir, please doe what's the problem".

"Good afternoon"I said turning ti the direction of the voice.

"Doctor Walters, what surprise I didn't know you were traveling what's the problem sir?". The manager said upon recognising me.

" Thank you, I need to be in California as soon as possible my dad is really sick".
" Okay sir Just hold on"

He called the control room and asked them to hold on on take off and shortly I joined the plane and we took off.

Hours later I reached home it was already dark. I took an airport taxi to the family hospital.

Soon I met my mum pacing at the reception.

"Mother" I said running to hug her.
"I'm so glad you're here son".
"What's wrong with dad?".I asked helping her sit down.

"Well his two kidneys are failing and he was poisoned".

"Father was poisoned?".

"Yes, we don't know how but he was right now he's undergoing dialysis, the doctor all be here soon".

The doctor came out and when I asked for my father's medical report I saw loopholes,several things weren't adding up.
I got suspicious and asked for another test to be done on my father by a diffrent person.

When the results came out, it showed my at that he was only poisoned no kidney issues.

After much interrogation and investigation we discovered it was all a plot to milk my parents money.

I didn't feel like taking the matter to court so I let the doctor go but his license was withdrawn.

I wanted to go back immediately but I knew I had to stay a few more days with my parents. During the cause of my stay, I told them about Adrianna and the kids of course leaving the part of she was raped they were excited to meet them and asked me to bring them soon.

Exactly five days after I got to California, I was in the airport to leave back to New York.

I got to New York by 2pm and Immediately drive to Adrie's house.

When I knocked, she opened and stood there looking at me.

"Hi"I said but got no response.

"Please can I come in?"I tried again still no response but she moved from the way and let me through.

"Adrianna please talk to me".

"What do you want to me to say?".

Finally she said something and my heart came down as I heard her voice.

I explained everything to her after she accused me of abandoning the kids without a word.

She made to stand up and go inside but I held her hand.

"Adrie I'm sorry I've been so cold, it was a means to hide my hurt.I'm sorry I hurt you in the process.I know I have been selfish and I have been an idiot. Forgive me please. The day you told me you loved me I swear I really just wanted to hold you tight but somehow I was frozen to the spot and when you kissed me  with those soft lips of yours I couldn't move any part of me I'm so sorry. I want us to be together the family that we ought to be".

Adrianna's pov

When I heard him say those words, I melted I couldn't hold the smile from my lips as my lips stretched.

"What about Miranda?".

"I ended things with her the same day you came to my house".

Oh I did not know that and here i was thinking I scared him away.

"What about all the mean things you said to me?".

"Princess I meant none of them, not even one".he said kissing my hand.

"But you told me I was terrible at everything".

"Remind me to slap myself later" he said chuckling.

" I love you Willy amd I'm sorry too for being so stubborn".

"Are you really apologising to me, princess I should be the only one doing that. Do you forgive me for everything?  Like everything?".

"Yes I do".I answered smiling.

"Thank you and one more thing will you accept to be the only woman in my life".
I laughed at how silly he sounded with his question.

"Yes I accept".

That's the best news ever Adrie he said getting up and pulling me up as well he made me jump on him and he covered me in kisses.

As we kissed, I felt free and I knew that it was the beginning of a brand new life for me.
