Chapter 32

Recap:

"Fine I forgive you, but there's something else I won't forgive you for"

"Oh come on what's that again?"

"You didn't even come for my sweet sixteenth birthday, you promised me it would be an ending party".

"Believe me dear I did but mum sent me away".

"Wait what!!!"

"Yes Anna, I actually came with the twins".

"Wait you mean you came with Iris and Ivy?"

"I did, they were just about 3 years and 8 months".

"And what happened?"

Flashback
"Grandma, I'm leaving already".
"Come here my darling give me a hug, take care of yourself and these little cuties".
"Thanks grandma I will".I said hugging her.
" Adrie" she called as I was about to step out of the door.
"Yes ma?"I replied.
"Don't expect to be received with open arms but all the same don't let it get to you if you dont get the warm welcome you expect alright?".
"Thanks granny, bye".

Exactly four hours thirty minutes later I was home.

I took a deep breath and knocked at the door and waited.

The door was opened and I came face to face with the woman I could never stop loving-my mother.

"Good evening mum"I said smiling at looking at her.

"Evening"she replied coldly.

"Its been so long mom,I missed you so much" I said moving forward and hugging her".

"What are you doing here" she asked.

"Mum I came over for Anna's birthday party.I promised her her with birthday would be a grand one and I'm here to fulfil that promise".

" I see, come in don't stand outside".She said stepping away from entrance to let me enter.

I entered inside following her behind and pulling Iris and Ivy behind me. She hadn't Seen them yet.

"Thank you mum, this is iris and Ivy your grand daughters" I said beaming at her when we had entered inside.

"Really?, wow they look beautiful".

"Go hug grand ma; come on come on" I said to them nudging them towards her.

"They hugged her and came back to meet me".

" you've come far do you want water or anything?"she asked.

I was surprised at her sweetness.

"Water will be fine".
She came back with bottled water and gave me. I thanked her and open it to drink.

"Now you've had a warm welcome, you can leave" she said looking at me

"What do you mean mom?"I stared at her in disbelief.

"I have treated you like I would treat a homeless stranger, I ushered you in, I was nice to you now it's time for you to leave with this things"she said pointing at the twins.

" you can insult me mum but don't you dare call my children things because they are the best miracle I could ever ask for".

"In that case carry your miracle and leave".

"Why are you doing this to me? I'm your daughter for crying out loud and these are your first grandkids".

"I don't want to argue with you, so please get going, leave my house".

"Fine I'll leave but please help me fulfil my promise to Anna, this is a list of all the things I promised her she'll have in her birthday party"I said giving her a paper.

"And this is the dress she is to wear for the party"I handed her a box.

"This is also a recipe for some cup cakes that she'll love" I said handing her another paper.

"Why on earth should I even let her have this?"

"Please mum for the love you have for all of us. I know you love us a lot. Please do this for the beautiful smile that light up Anna's face".I pleaded.
"Fine I'll do just that, now get out".

"one more thing mom, please let's take a selfie, you, my kids and I".

"Do it fast" she said sitting down and picking up Iris aand putting her on her lap. I followed suit and carried Ivy. We took
Some selfies .

And I held the kids hands and made for the door .

" Adrianna, you were never here alright? Your siblings hate me enough, please just go and I don't want to see you ever again, you died long ago to me".

As much as it hurt me to hear her say those words I walked out with my kids and went to a  nearby hotel".

End of flashback

"Oh my God, so it was you who got me my birthday dress, it was really lovely I loved it. I'm realky so sorry for being upset at you. I'm also sorry mum was mean".
"Its okay dear I'm sure she'll come around soon".
"I'm really hungry we've been talking for over an hour".
"Sorry dear, I actually came to call you for breakfast let's get going".

We ate and went to freshen up.
Later we talked about things and while talking we heard a knock at the door.
"I'll get it" I said going to the door. I opened it and saw Willy.
"Hi"
"How are you, come on in".
"Thanks and I'm sorry I couldn't make it yesterday"
"Its fine".
"Oh my God, hottie hottie!!!" Anna screamed rushing at Willy and jumping on him. He carried her up and twirled around.
"Its been so long Anna, how are you"
He asked when he put her down.
" I'm fine , wow you look better than ever"

"Well you're all grown up and you really are beautiful".
"Thank you Willy, how have you been"

"I've been good".
"Will you guys at least sit down?"I asked pointing at the chairs.

They talked for a while and Willy left.

I called Chloe earlier and spoke to her and told her I was sorry for overreacting.
She told me she would come over when she was done with work and offered tho pick the kids from school.

Two weeks have passed since Anna came around. Willy has been really distant. He just comes over to pick the kids or say hello to them or take Anna out.

I felt jealous that he wasn't giving me all the attention as usual.
It really got to me when he was just treating me like an ordinary person.

One beautiful morning after breakfast, I decided to pay Willy a visit. Chloe took Anna and the kids for shopping so I was alone in the house.
I had a bath, wore a dress, locked up the house and went into my car and drove off to Willy's place.
I was tired of running round in circles with him. I was going right now to tell him go I really feel about him.
Shortly, I got to his house, got out of the car,I knocked at the door and got no response I tried the handle of the door and it opened.

The sight before me was killing, at that moment I felt really stupid for even thinking of coming over.
