A sweet metallic smell filled the forest, overpowering the fresh pine.
I step out of my cabin into the blistering cold, following the scent like a rabid hunting dog.
Hungry and desperate, I wade through knee deep snow, my shirtless body unfazed by the freezing temperatures.
The scent grows stronger, and it's there I find her;
She's young, quite beautiful, her body is half covered in snow, her arms bleeding slowly turning her surroundings bright red.
My eyes glaze over as I breathe her in, she is weak, alone, easy to pick off.
I've never smelled a human so intoxicating.
I picture her warm blood trickling down my throat, relighting the body heat I've lost.
But as I stare at her, my conscience bubbles at the back of my brain, and I can't help but to rescue her.
It's only when I pull her body out of the snow that I realize she's completely naked, Which begs the question, what happened to her?
