The loud boots stomped down the hallway and suddenly Steve was shoved off of me. I looked to Steve who looked disgusting that someone would shove him. I shifted my eyes to see who had pushed him and found Cole.
"Hey dickhead! She said no! The fuck is wrong with you?" Cole shouted. I grabbed his arm and glared at Steve as I walked away with Cole.
"Dani, are you alright?" Cole questions.
"Yeah I'm fine. It's good to see you." I smile at him as we walk together. We got to the cafeteria doors and I hugged him.
"Thank you." I said into his shoulder.
Cole released me and gave me a smile as we walked into the cafeteria. We walked in and I looked around for my friends. I scanned over the lunchroom looking for Nancy. My eyes grazed over Billy's usual table. I looked over them quickly but took a double take. My eyes found Billy in his normal spot with his friends. Along with his friends were a bunch of girls. Some from the cheer team others were just pretty girls. A particular girl in a cheer uniform with long brown hair sat on the table with her knees apart. She sat between Billy and one of his friends. I nervously chuckled to myself. My stomach twisted. The girl flipped her hair and looked to Billy. She took her long manicured fingers and gently grabbed Billy's chin to have him long up at her. I saw she had a flirty smirk on her face. Billy looked up at her with an eyebrow hitches and a smug smirk on his face. I felt my stomach twist. I looked away and found Nancy and Jonathan not too far away. I sat and pretended to be fine during lunch. I only ate an apple because I wasn't too hungry. I didn't look back to his table. I didn't want to see what would happen. Of course my mind made up the worse conclusions. What if he was kissing her right now? I mean we aren't official but we're together, right? He does have a reputation to keep up, and so do I which means I can't cry. I need to be fine.
Once lunch was finish we made our way to class. I entered Murphy's class and sat in my usual seat next to Nancy. Soon enough the same cheerleader who was on the table walked in. She sat in front of Billy's seat and I watched as she checked her face in a compact and pushed her already flat chest up. She swiped her hair off of her one shoulder and revealed a fresh hickey. I bit my lip and faced forward. Just before the bell rang Billy came strolling in. I didn't look his way. I was afraid to.
