Exam week finally passed and the group of friends are supposed to celebrate but unfortunately, Sungjae has fallen sick.
"That idiot kept saying that we should go ahead even though he can't make it."
Irene thinks about it. "We've been planning this for days. It's a waste if we do not push this through."
"I agree." Seulgi nods. "We can just bring back something for him."
"Changsub-hyung just called. Sungjae's gonna be all alone. Charm-noona has been feeling sick so they're going to the doctor." Hyunsik informs them.
Sooyoung bites her lip. "I think I'm just not gonna go."
"What?!" Yeri exclaims. "But why?"
Sooyoung fiddles with her fingers. "I'm just gonna be worrying about Sungjae anyway. I won't be fun to anyone."
The boys share knowing looks with each other. "I hate to say this but I think I agree with you Sooyoung-ah." Peniel gives her an encouraging nod. "I can see just by looking at you now that you won't be much company later on."
"I'm sorry." Sooyoung scratches the back of her neck.
"It's okay. We're just gonna drop you off in front of his house." Hyunsik offers.
Sooyoung suddenly blushes. "Actually, you can just drop me off in front of my house."
The girls give her teasing smiles. "Why? You're planning something for him, aren't you?" Seulgi grins.
"What? No. I just thought I could cook something for him, since he's sick." Sooyoung explains.
"Pretty sure that they have everything you need in their kitchen." Irene presses.
Ilhoon ruffles the girl's hair. "Don't worry. You guys will be fine."
The group of friends drop Sooyoung in front of Sungjae's house. She tries to ring the doorbell but no one answers. She finds the key hidden behind the doorbell and unlocks the front door. The household is completely quiet aside from the occasional coughing that can be heard upstairs. This'll be Sooyoung's first time in any guy's room ever since the incident. She takes a deep breath and slowly makes her way to the second floor.
Sooyoung easily finds Sungjae's room through the sign plastered on the door. She softly knocks and slowly opens the door. Sungjae is laying down on his bed wrapped in a thick blanket with a wet towel on his forehead. She can see him breathing heavily as if he's having a hard time. Sooyoung closes the door again as quietly as she could and heads down to the kitchen to begin her task.
Sooyoung begins to rummage through the kitchen and cooks up some hot porridge, stirs up some fresh orange juice and scans the cabinet for some medicine. She's just about finished putting the food on the tray when she heard scuffling behind her.
"You scared me!" Sooyoung jumps.
Sungjae stares at her with his tired eyes, red nose and ruffled hair, but still manages to look so adorable. "What are you doing here? I thought you're with the others?"
"Shouldn't it be me who's asking you that question? What are you doing out of bed?" Sooyoung scolds him. "You should be resting..."
Sungjae sits on one of the stools. "I heard some noise and thought we were getting burglared."
Sooyoung laughs at him. "You're funny. Let me help you back to your own room."
"But..."
"No buts... Give me your hand." Sooyoung offers hers.
