Sooyoung can hear and feel everything. Even with her eyes closed, her other senses are heightened with everything that's going on around her. With how the people watching over changes every few hours except for one. She wants someone to take Sungjae away from that place just so he wouldn't have to see her like that. But she can't. She can't even open her eyes. And she hated herself for being weak.
It wasn't even her intention to hurt herself again. But everything was too much. Eungyeol, Hyunwoo, Sorim and Sungjae... the truth of it all was just too much. The thought of everyone lying and hiding it from her was too much. Of course she was hurt. It's an acceptable reaction to everything. But Wendy's right. Sooyoung knows in herself that she would've forgiven all of them in time. She was just too weak to wait and almost gave up.
"Doctor, why isn't my sister waking up?" She hears Chanyeol ask.
"Mr. Park, your sister's mental state is in a complicated place right now." The doctor explains. "I'm sure your wife knows what I'm talking about. We can never say when she'll wake up."
Footsteps suddenly comes closer. "But can she hear us?" Sungjae's weakened voice suddenly asks.
"It is a possibility." The doctor agrees. "Her physical body is completely healed. We just have to wait for her."
The door closes and three chairs move closer to her bed; which can only mean that Chanyeol and Sungjae is also with Wendy.
"Sungjae... you have to go home." Wendy scolds him. "Sooyoung would not like it if she sees you like this."
"What if she wakes up while I'm gone?" Sungjae bites his lip. "I wanna be there when she does."
Wendy puts a hand on his shoulder. "We'll call you if anything happens. Eat something. Get some new clothes and shave okay?"
Sungjae chuckles bitterly. "Do I really look that homeless?"
"A little bit." Chanyeol agrees.
"Alright." Sungjae sighs. "I'll come back later. Call me if anything happens."
Wendy nods with a smile. "Don't worry Sungjae. We got this."
As soon as Sungjae walks out of the hospital, two pair of eyes finally open much to her brother and sister's delight.
"Sooyoung? Oh my god Sooyoung!" Chanyeol holds his baby sister's hand.
"O-oppa." Sooyoung says weakly. "I'm so sorry."
Chanyeol shakes his head. "You have nothing to apologize for. I'm the one who should apologize."
Wendy returns with Sooyoung's doctor and they check her vitals, clearing her for any further complications.
"Sungjae just left." Wendy opens up as soon as the doctors and nurses left.
Sooyoung heavily. "I know. I heard everything."
"Do... you want us to tell him that you're awake." Wendy asks, seeing the inhibition in her eyes.
"Maybe later?" Sooyoung shrugs. "I got to prepare myself when I face him. We have a lot to talk about." She glimpses at her brother. "Have you guys rested yet?"
Chanyeol looks at his wife. "We're okay. Yeri and Peniel are already due here any minute."
"You should go home and get some rest oppa." Sooyoung softly scolds his brother. "The doctor says I'm okay anyway."
"You're crazy to think that we'll let you alone for one second Park Sooyoung. You all scared us to death." Wendy flicks the girl's forehead. "If you weren't in a hospital bed I would've given you an earful."
