"Do you have a tent?" Suddenly Alec asked with a quiet voice. I was too embarrassed to turn and face him."Um.." I started, still being scared of turning around. "I thought that.. oh, never mind." I gave up.
"Hey," he placed his hand on my shoulder, and even though it was just a simple touch, it made my whole body to shiver and I almost jumped away.
"You can sleep in mine." He chuckled.
There's no way that I'm sleeping in the same tent as him!
"No no. I mean, it's not even that cold. I can just sleep by the bonfire." I shrugged my shoulders and finally turned around.
"Have you lost your mind?" His eyes darkened.
"You're not sleeping outside. I won't let you." His voice was different. Like protective.
And usually I would hate a situation when someone tells me what to do but with him it was completely different.I sighed. I lost. And to be honest, I was all about losing at the moment.
"Okay, okay." I finally said, and his face automatically lightened.
"Perfect. Now come and help me build it up." He grinned at me.
"What? You think I don't know how to?" I dramatically gasped.
"Show me what you've got then!" He laughed, and I playfully hit his arm.

Later, when both tents were up, with all of our stuff inside of them, and looking somewhat normal, Derek came back with a pretty huge fish.
While he and Alec went to take care of it, I helped Linda to lit up the bonfire, and later prepare the potatoes. In the middle of process, I started to smile, once I remembered our little conversation back in the tent.
"So which side do you want?" I asked.
"No way! The sides are always cold." He stated and actually looked serious about it.
"Well, sorry not sorry," I chuckled.
"I want the middle." He put his hands on his chest. I then gave him my 'are you serious' look.
"But you're not getting it, because that's where our bags are gonna be sleeping." I laughed and left him sitting and swearing there.
"What's so funny?" Linda suddenly asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Oh, it's just that your son is a really nice person. And quite funny!" I said, of course leaving out the 'hot' part.
"He's actually not always like this. In the past months he rarely spoke to us, always saying that he's just busy with school, but I'm sure that it's something bigger, as I told you already before. I just wish he would talk to someone about it. But seeing him being this happy and playful and just so himself again, makes me so so happy, and it also makes me think that it has a lot to do with you, young lady!" Linda said, giving me a smirk, while I just sat there being confused, peeling the potatoes.
What could have happened to him that he doesn't talk about it to his parents? They have a really strong and healthy relationship, so it much be real bad then. Or maybe he's just not ready to talk about it yet. Will he ever tell me?
And, no way he's suddenly happy only because of me. He doesn't even know me. I don't know him!
"It's probably only because he really likes this trip and it gives him good memories." I told her, while she just gave me a warm smile.
"I really doubt that."

Dinner actually wasn't bad at all. The potatoes tasted perfect and surprisingly, fish was not that bad as how I remembered. I still don't like it, though.
I gave most of mine to Alec.
It was such a beautiful evening and it was still really warm and sunny.
"We're gonna go for a walk, because I saw a really pretty and new place by the rocks when I was fishing. Do you guys wanna come?" Derek and Linda got up at the same time, when Derek asked us, turning towards me and Alec.
"Oh, sur.." I started to say but got interrupted rudely.
"Actually, we have our own plans." Alec calmly said, and I turned around to face him.
"Huh?" I was confused, because I couldn't remember the moment where we were making any plans.
"Well, that's okay. I hope you guys will get to know each other better." Linda gave me a wink.
I just hope Alexander didn't see that!
"Just please don't start to call us siblings!" Alec cried out.
"Why not, brother?" I smirked at him and bit my lip, teasing him. He showed me his tongue as a response.
"Yes, that would get weird." Derek joined our conversation, right before walking away.
"So? Are you planning on telling me our plans?" I looked in his light blue, almost grey eyes.
"Would you like to go for a swim?" He asked, while raising his eyebrows.
"Do you want for me to swim naked?" I exclaimed, but he just started to laugh.
Is he crazy?
"Just wear your god damn underwear, woman!" He finally said, once he stopped laughing.
"Oh."
"Not that I wouldn't like to see you naked." He grinned at me, and I looked at him with my mouth wide open.
"Excuse me, what?"
