  It was Friday and I was running for the second time this week so that I won't miss my new job. Linda overslept just like me, so she couldn't drive me, and I ended up with fifteen minutes and almost four miles.

I felt my phone buzzing in my jacket's pocket, so I stopped running for a moment. A bright smile appeared on my face once I saw Alec's name on my phone's display. This whole week we had our kind of thing- he called me in the mornings to make sure I was okay, I called him after work once I was back home and then we usually talked until midnight.

"Good morning, runner!" once I picked up, Alec chuckled, probably already hearing my heavy breathing.

"If I'd be there, I'd drive you there every single morning without even asking anything in return," Alec said, "because I'm just that big of a sunshine!"

"You really are." I laughed.

"You've been working for twelve hours everyday, I'm so happy that I'm taking you away today." Alec continued.

"Wait what?" I was confused and stopped.

"I thought we were leaving only on Sunday."

"We are going to my apartment on Sunday. Today I'm taking you on a little weekend getaway." I could hear his goofy smile.

"You're the best!" I cried out.

"Come here faster so I can hug the life out of you." I added and ended the call, because I was already almost there.

This ice cream shop was twice the size of the one back at home. Everything kind of reminded me of Tom and Nick here, which sucked but other than that, I loved working here.

Nick facetime me sometime, now he's just always busy, since it's the only ice cream shop in our shitty town, plus he has started taking classes online. I'm so proud of him but I really really miss both of them.

I rushed inside of the building, quickly greeted the boss lady who literally always had the warmest smile on her face, and then went straight to the changing room, where I quickly changed into my uniform. Before I left the room, I sent another message to Alec, saying that I miss him.

What can I do? I really fricking miss him even though it has only been one week without him. I missed his beautiful face and goofy smile, I missed his deep but also soft voice, I missed his jokes and I really missed his cuddles.

Deep down, there was a voice in me, which kept yelling at me, that he thinks of me just as his friend or even worse, as his little almost sister. But every time I just pushed it away because I knew that what I feel... That's something very very real and I wasn't ready to give up just yet. After all, he wants to spend time with me and he's taking me to his apartment. That has to mean something, right?

"Earth to Rosie!" Jacob, probably the cutest boy after Alec, snapped his fingers behind my back to get my attention. He's been calling me Rosie since the second minute I stepped my foot in her last Monday. I can't figure out if I like it or hate it.

"Yea, sorry," I chuckled, "you said something?"

"I just wanted to ask, um, maybe you wanna go to see a movie or something after work?.." he was stuttering and trying to hide his face under his curly, brown hair.

"Oh, I'd love to! But Alec is coming to town today." I shrugged my shoulders and smiled as apology.

"That guy who keeps calling and texting you this whole week?" Jacob wasn't smiling anymore.

"Yes."

"Is he like your boyfriend?" he suddenly asked, once the lady with two kids had left with their ice creams.

I wish.

"No. More like a friend." I answered, hating it how it sounds.

"So maybe you could consider hanging out with me sometime?" he looked up at me while I studied his face.

"I'll be away for the next two weeks but when school will start, I'll start to work here again, and I'm pretty sure we're gonna be classmates, so I don't really have much options here, do I?" I said and we both started to laugh.

The day was long and tiring but Jacob hyped me up with his super lame jokes. As always.

It was five minutes past seven and we were cleaning the shop and getting ready to leave.

"Rose, there's someone waiting for you!" Catherine, my boss, called me and I looked at the doors with a furrowed eyebrows.

Suddenly my breath got lost somewhere in my throat.

He was standing there, wearing black jeans, vans and a simple white shirt, his hair was all messy and his eyes were only on me. He really was the most beautiful boy I've ever seen and the fact actually scared me, because I never even thought that it's possible to be this attracted to someone and just simply want someone in all ways.

"Come here!" he whispered, opening his arms for me. I sighed once I felt his body warmth and the way how insanely good he smells.

My face was pressed against his chest, my arms around his neck, one hand in his hair, slowly wrapping his hair. That was new.. I've never done that but it seemed like he really liked it.

"I missed you, beautiful." he softly whispered against my ear and I looked up at him. He was smiling one of those smiles of his that made my insides go all crazy and squishy.
