The next morning when I opened my eyes, a big wave of panic hit my whole body.

I forgot to set my alarm last night. Today was Friday, which meant it was the camping day!

When I was almost about to cry, I heard kitchen sounds coming from downstairs and I exhaled in relief.

They were still here. I mean, of course they are here. They wouldn't just leave without me. Funny how you mind can just fuck your whole life with its thinking.

I'm still going camping! And Alec is coming with us!

I shouldn't think about him they way how I am already but no one can really blame me.

I took my phone to check what time it is. Nearly eight in the morning. Wasn't even that bad.

I got out of the bed and went straight to my bathroom and jumped into the shower. The hot water relaxed my body and I came out of it in a pretty good mood, singing random songs.

With a towel around my body, I stood next to my mirror and looked at my makeup drawer. I am going to the forrest though.

So I walked back to my dresser to take my grey sweats and my new yellow sweatshirt.

Then I got my backpack and put two more sweatpants, jeans, three shirts and another hoodie.

With my backpack hanging from my hand, I got out of my room and then down the stairs.

Why was I so nervous?

As soon as I went downstairs, I heard Linda's singing and a quiet but raspy voice. Oh man, that voice I know!

I left my backpack and deeply exhaled before I went into the kitchen.

"Good morning, everyone." I said, while looking at the ground.

"Morning, sweetie! Sit down, pancakes are almost ready and we're leaving in twenty minutes." Linda's talking was fast, I almost couldn't understand, but I did how I was told.

Once I sat down, I finally looked up. Alec was having some probably serious conversation with his dad, because his eyebrows were furrowed, making him look younger. His hair was pretty messed up and sometimes getting in his eyes in the cutest way possible.

When I understood that I was starring for too long, it was already too late, because he looked straight into my eyes and his lips curled up for a little smirk.

"How'd you sleep?" Without leaving his sight off of me, he asked. He had the most attractive voice and it actually made me kind of mad.

"It was okay." I answered and bit my lip. Unintentionally! Then, all of a sudden, he looked away and ran his hand through his hair. But before I could start to get curious about his reaction, Linda came to us with the food.

After we ate, Alec excused himself and took a shower, while the three of us made some snacks to take with us. When he came back, we stuffed all the food in our backpacks and left the house.

"What is he doing?" Alec chuckled and pointed to Derek who was still standing on the porch, while we were walking to the car.

"He's probably just saying goodbye to his beloved house." Linda laughed at her own words and that made us both laugh as well.

To be honest, I laughed louder than how I wanted and as a result, I had Alec's eyes all over my laughing face.

It wasn't even meant to be as a joke. Maybe my place really is back home, because at this point just send me back!

When I finally stopped laughing, I cleared my throat and looked down to my shoes, feeling so embarrassed. My cheeks were swelling by now.

"You look cute when you laugh." He said quietly so that Linda couldn't hear it but every word marked itself into my brain.

"Thanks." I whispered like an idiot.

I mean, what do you say?

Finally Derek joined us and saved me.

We all put our bags into the car's boot. I had no idea where we are going with the car but looked like Linda and Derek knew what they're doing, so I just laid comfortably in the back seat.

My heart skipped a beat when Alec threw his body next to me and let out a big sigh. He wouldn't be sitting on the roof, so why was I even surprised?

"God, I hate mornings." He mumbled to himself and I chuckled.

"You and me both." I said and gave him a little smile before turning my head.

"We have like an hour drive now, so you kids can surely go back to sleep." Derek said and winked at both of us.

Alec kind of jumped in his seat from excitement.

Then his face got overlaid with confusion.

"So we're aiming for the big forest?" He asked to his parents.

"Yes, love." Linda gave him a heartwarming smile.

"The last time we went there was like four or five years ago. It's really far away, but really cool place. I guess you're just that special." Alec turned to me to explain.

"Yeah, I guess so." I smirked and placed my head in a good sleeping position. Now, when I started to think about it, my eyes actually got heavier within seconds.

But before I could fall asleep, I heard a little snoring, so I lifted my head to look at the Alexander boy next to me. His hair was now covering most of his eyes and his lips were a little bit open. I smiled, before laying my head back down.
