  I felt how my body was basically iced, so my eyes swung open immediately. Alec definitely wasn't wrong about saying how much sides suck.

It was still pretty dark in the tent, so I couldn't see or find my other blanket.

"Shit!" I cursed, while my whole body was shaking.

"Good morning to you too." suddenly I heard Alec's deep and cracky morning voice.

"Here! Take my blanket." he insisted and I grabbed it out of his hands.

"That's exactly what I was trying to prove about the sides yesterday." he softly chuckled.

Then he pulled out another blanket from his backpack.

"Thank you." I whispered.

"No problem, beautiful." he softly smiled at me before laying back down.

Suddenly I saw my blanket as well. When I was about to lean and grab it, I accidentally smelled Alec's blanket. It smelled so much like him that I automatically stopped and hugged it.

I could hear how he's chuckling from behind me.

"Shut up!" I exclaimed and tucked the blanket around my body.

Without noticing, we were both back to sleeping. It could be just my head messing with me, but it was ten times warmer with his blanket.

"Sleepyhead!" suddenly someone pulled off my whole blanket, revealing my 'feeling like naked' body. It was god damn cold.

So I screamed. Like a little kid.

Both Linda and Alec were laughing.

"Buttheads." I groaned and curled up myself.

"She's definitely not a morning person. How bout we let her sleep for a little bit more?" Alec suggested, and I wanted to jump up to hug him. So there is human somewhere deep down in him.

"So what are we doing today?" I asked once I had some coffee and started to feel alive again.

We were all sitting around the bonfire. Alec was continuing complaining about the sides, Linda was ignoring him and telling me about the plans while Derek was making sandwiches.

After breakfast we finally decided to start to move. Because of my sleeping and our slow eating, it was already something past ten.

''I wanted to start to walk already at seven!'' Linda cried out and Alec snored.

''Don't worry, sweetie. It will still be amazing!'' Derek put his hand on his wife's back and gently rubbed it.

Well, damn! Derek wasn't wrong at all, because I am pretty sure that I spent one of the best days in my life. We saw many more beautiful waterfalls and rivers, small and also pretty big mountains. I actually wanted to climb to one of them but I kind of fell and hit my butt. But Alec was already there to help me and despite the fact that he kept chuckling, I still really appreciated him being concerned about my well being. Oh, we even went into really big caves and I also saw a lot of weird birds.

I loved every single second that I spent by exploring the nature with Alec by my side.

When we finally got back, it was completely dark, windy and cold. Derek lit up the bonfire but he looked exhausted.

''Go and sleep, dad. I'll stay at the bonfire for a while.'' Alec said after coming back from our tent. He now was wearing a bigger hoodie, a hat and a scarf.

''I'll stay with you.'' I said and our eyes met. He gave me a little smile before turning back to his parents.

''Don't stay up too late. We need to be home pretty early because aunt Marlee is visiting us for a dinner.'' Linda motherly told us before exchanging smiles with Derek.

''We won't. I am really tired too.'' I answered and Alec just nodded.

Once they both left, we sat down. We stared to flames eating each other and listened how wind is basically destroying the trees. It was quite chaotic yet really calming. Suddenly Alec moved closer to me, so that now our knees were pressing against each other. I wanted to ask him why he did it but I was too scared to ruin the moment so we just kept sitting there like that for a while.

''Are you tired yet?'' I asked, finally noticing how he keeps yawning all the time.

''Yea, a little bit. I have a question, though.'' He answered and gave me a sleepy smile.

''Okay, sure.''

''Do you have a boyfriend?'' After keeping a pause, he finally asked.

''I moved here one week ago, Alec.'' I shook my head.

''Well, yeah but I mean, like back at home.'' he looked nervous as he kept biting his lip and trying to void eye contact. That innocent lip biting.. He gotta stop doing that!

''No.. I had one, though.'' I said and sadly smiled, and I didn't like where this conversation was going.

''Is it okay to ask what happened?'' He asked quietly.

''He was fucking with my best friend. Period.'' I whispered, and his eyes widened in an obvious anger.

''Holy shit, Rose. I didn't wanted to..''

''Hey! He's an idiot. A total idiot. And a dick. And more importantly, he doesn't deserve you. Never did." He continued and slowly put his hand on my thigh. Even though I had leggings on, I still felt his touch pretty intense.

''Let's just go to sleep.'' I suggested and got up. He just nodded and gave me a smile. I was so thankful to him for not wanting to hear the details and for understanding me.

''Hey, Rose?'' Alec whispered once we were both settled down in our sides.

''Huh?'' I answered. There was no point in pretending to be asleep. We both knew that sleep wasn't really on our minds anymore.

''Do you wanna cuddle?''

hear me out, haha, i wrote this while i was at skul because i just HAD to update this story but well yeah, i hate hate hate skul. also i feel like my english is fading away.. also i really need to get my shit together lol.
