Chapter eight: Mistakes.

Sam's POV

It had been a few months now since Haylee's death and everyone seemed to be going back to normal and going back to school. Hillary got dumped by her boyfriend Jace a few days ago and now she had to face him because her mom was making her attend school this week.

I was currently at home, dreading going back to school without seeing Jamie there and it was going to feel so weird and awkward because everyone would most likely been staring at us. I was going to head to Lucas' place to walk to school, we had become so close lately and that made me feel better. I was getting closer to Jamie's family to keep in touch with everything that had happened and especially all that we had been through together.

I saw Lucas leave his house as I walked down a few house to get to his, he smiled and we walked the other direction to the school. A few minutes past and the silence had broken. "I really hope we are not moving on from Jamie. I mean, we are acting happy like she never existed in this world." His smile disappeared.

"I think about Jamie everyday and not a minute goes by that I don't miss her and I wish she was walking with us right now, smiling and talking to us." I replied.

Lucas sighed. "I have almost forgotton what she sounds like, like she is already gone when we don't even know if she's out there alive."

It was near lunch time and I had a free period.

I sat at an empty table inside the cafeteria and ate my apple. I heard high heels approching my table and I looked up to see a brunette haired girl pull out a chair and she sat across from me, pulling the ends of her long staright hair.

"Hey hottie." Jessica, from my p.e and math class, said with her flirty eyes.

"Uh, Hey." I replied, feeling awkward and confused.

"Where have you been? I've missed you around." She said.

"I've been away." I stated, looking blunty at her.

She was pretty, she had nice light blue eyes and a tan body, wearing her short tank top that showed her bellybutton piecing and she wore a short short skirt that showed most of her legs.

"I heard your girlfriend went missing, did she dump you and run away?" She asked in a flirty voice and smiling like she was happy.

I was too confused to fire back at her. "No, it's nothing like that." I said as I leaned back and took a bite of my apple.

My mind nearly forgot about Jamie. Turn the other way, Sam.

"Sorry but, I should go." I said, standing up and checking the time as the bell was about to ring.

"Wait. Before you leave me all alone, without a boyfriend, you should come over to my place and help me study for math since you're super good at it." She said in a flirty voice.

"I don't have time." I stated, feeling annoyed.

She walked over to my end of the table and came up close to me and started touching my arm in a stoke, going up and down. "Pretty please," I took a step back, "ugh! Please Sam, otherwise I'm going to fail and that would be on you. Plus it might take your mind off of your problems." She said, annoyed but she looked so innocent.

The bell rung and I heard the footsteps and the mumbles of students entering the cafeteria, Jessica fluttered her blue eyes and smiled. "Okay, fine. Text me the details later." I finally gave in and walked away, actually forgetting about my problems.

Was that such a bad thing?

I told Lucus that I had be somewhere after school and that I would text him later. I left the school grounds and started walking to Jessica's house a block away from the school.

When I arrived ten minutes later, I knocked on the door and I suddenly saw her smiling face appear in the door seconds after I knocked on it. "Hey come on in. No body is going to be home for hours so you can stay as long as you like." She said in a instant not looking shy at all. I sat in the living room and grabbed my books out and she slowly did the same, she started to think. "Want a snack or a drink?" She asked.

"No, I'm fine." I mumbled.

"Well, you need to eat. A sporty guy like you needs to eat his brain food." She chuckled and I gave her a faint smile.

I shrugged. "Sure, whatever you have is fine."

She left the living area, walking like she was a model across the room and into the kitchen. She took a while. She took a little too long for my liking for  someone who was just getting snacks and it was now getting dark outside.

"Jessica?" I yelled.

"Coming!" She yelled back.

What was that girl up to? I heard slow movemnets coming from the stairs area as she walked slowly into the living room where I was sitting and she leaned on the wall. "Where are the snacks?" I asked.

"I think we have time to do some equations before we eat." She said softly. She changed into a little black dress showing her bra and underwear.

"Why are you dressed like that?" I asked her, feeling confused as I sat on her couch awkwardly.

"I bet you miss your girlfriend, did she give in to your needs?" She said in a flirty voice as she walked over slowly. She sat down and she smelt so nice. "Why don't I give you a little ride" She said, unbuttoning my shirt slowly and I didn't stop it. She slowly moved her hand down my pants and she crashed her lips onto mine and I kissed her back. A few seconds of making out, she let go to breathe. "Lets take this to my bedroom."

She took my hands and we slowly went upstairs. And I think we all know what happened next.
