Kovu's forgotten mate

   The moment that statement was made, Kovu halted in his tracks.
"I think you made a mistake. That cub you're referring to isn't mine, but yours,"
"No Kovu that cub isn't mine. It's ours," said Cindy softly. Kovu turned and growled lowly at Cindy making her flinch. "How dare you say such a thing!" he whispered aggressively.
"You left me when I got you pregnant. Because I said that getting justice for Scar was my top priority, you broke up with me and left,"

  Cindy shook her head and sighed. "I know I made a terrible mistake. I walked out on you because I thought you didn't care about me anymore, that is the reason I left. But that decision costed me my life, my cub and my mate. I'm so sorry," she said sadly. Kovu stared into her aqua blue eyes and smiled.
He walked up to her and nuzzled her affectionately. "Aww how can I not forgive you? I love you,"
Cindy inhaled and tears dripped down her face. She laughed in relief and returned Kovu's nuzzle lovingly.

"So how've you been since we parted ways?"asked Kovu after their nuzzle was over. Cindy shrugged carelessly and grinned ear to ear. "Oh I've been keeping a low profile for quite some time,"
  Kovu grinned back and playfully pushed her shoulder. "Well that's good to know," he replied. Cindy laughed and clawed at Kovu's face, only then did she notice his scar. "Hey where'd you get that scar? Was it an accident or was it on purpose?"she asked in concern.
"It's a long story," sighed Kovu. "We've got time to hear it," said Cindy giggling.

"You can't say I didn't warn ya!" Kovu said as he launched into the story of his sad, cruel, lonely and miserable life story.
"And then we all lived happily ever after as one,"he concluded.
Cindy bursted into laughter as Kovu ended his story. "Holy moly! Who'd have thunk that all that would happen in such a short space of time!"she exclaimed.

Kovu laughed and continued to walk with Cindy following. "So how's our cub? Did you see her yet?"asked Cindy when the laughing was over. Kovu stopped and looked at Cindy their eyes meeting. "Kiara found her today and now she's at Pride Rock probably nursing,"

  Cindy stiffened and turned away. Realizing that this piece of news has upset Cindy, Kovu decided to steer on to other topics. He told Cindy about the history of the pridelands and it's inhabitants and soon she was cheerful again. "I should be getting back now. Kiara must be worrying about me and if I'm not back by sunset, she'll beg Simba to send out a dozen search parties for me," joked Kovu.

  "Yeah you should be getting back I didn't want to be found by anyone anyway," replied Cindy. Kovu nodded and looked at Cindy's beautiful blue eyes. Noticing his stare, Cindy shivered slightly before kissing him on his lips. The abrupt action caught Kovu off guard, but he kissed her anyway. The kiss lasted for at least five minutes before Kovu finally released her. "W...Wow that was nice," he stuttered blushing.
"Yeah that was nice," replied Cindy also blushing. They looked at each other for a few seconds before Kovu spoke again.

  "What's your cub's name by the way?"
  "I think you mean our cub," said Cindy.
  "Right let me rephrase that then. What's our cub's name," asked Kovu licking her cheeks.
"Her name is Pricilla," replied Cindy smiling.
"Right Pricilla," said Kovu. Cindy nodded and after a few moments, she left.
  "Well, daddy's coming Pricilla," said Kovu to himself.
