Kiara was sitting at the edge of the Eastern border all by herself. She didn't know what to do, she didn't have anyone to talk to and she wasn't going to talk to Kovu.
That was not an option.
He hurt her in the worst way and he was going to have to suffer.
"Keeping him away from his cub should be an ideal punishment. He doesn't get to do this to me and get away with it," she said to herself.
"Are you done sulking?"
Kiara turned around and saw Marisa standing there.
"What do you want?" she asked.
"You are so wrong about my brother Kiara. The things you said to Kovu today, it hurt him. But it doesn't seem to bother you does it?" she asked.
"So what if he's hurt? He wasn't too affected when he cheated on me," snapped Kiara.
"He and Cindy were together long before you and him. She lived in the outlands with us. She was infatuated with Kovu Kiara,"
"So you're saying he knew Cindy before me?" Kiara asked softly.
"He didn't even like her like her, he just went along with it because of Zira's insistence," said Marisa sitting down.
"What about Pricilla?"
"He didn't know she would get pregnant. She told everyone she wasn't," replied Marisa.
"I can't believe this! So I misjudged him and insulted him in front of everyone?" asked Kiara with tears in her eyes.
"And now he's about to get exiled," growled Marisa.
Kiara swallowed heavily and without another word, she ran in the direction of Pride Rock.
With Marisa following close behind with an evil smirk on her face.
Pride Rock.
Kovu, Vitani, their parents, Simba, Nala and all the lionesses in the pride were there.
"What do you mean you've changed your mind about pricing your innocence?" asked Simba confused at the statement he had just heard.
"I meant what I said Simba. It's not worth the stress. Your daughter doesn't love me and she thinks I cheated on her even when I told her I didn't," said Kovu simply.
"But honey you said you had a plan. Why did you change your mind?" asked Diana.
"Mom I know I had a plan but since Kiara won't cooperate, what's the use?" he replied.
"What's your final decision then?" Simba questioned.
"I'm guilty," he stated.
"Shall I pass your judgement?"
"If you must,"
"Fine. Then accordance to the Laws of the Pride Lands, all traitors must be punished. I will now pass your judgement…
" DON'T!"
All heads turned around and saw Kiara standing there with Marisa.
"Darling what is it?" asked Simba looking at his daughter.
"Kovu is innocent, he didn't do anything please don't exile him," she pleaded.
"How do you know?" asked Nala.
"Marisa told me everything about him, the lioness, Pricilla and everything that happened. He didn't cheat on me daddy. He was telling the truth,"
"Is this true Kovu," asked Simba.
"Correct is right," he replied.
The platform was silent as everyone tried to process the new information.
Simba was the to speak.
"Kovu, I was wrong about you. I was angry and I let my anger cloud my judgement. It wasn't fair of me to judge you so harshly before I got the whole truth. I should have asked for your side of the story before I made assumptions,"
Kovu didn't say anything he just stared silently ahead.
"I too wish to apologise for the harsh things I said to you Kovu. I was upset because I thought you cheated on Kiara. I'm truly sorry," said Nala.
Still nothing out of Kovu.
Then all the pridelanders came up to apologise for the terrible things they said to Kovu one by one.
The last to apologise was Kiara.
She walked up to Kovu and gave him a tender nuzzle.
"Kovu I'm so sorry for shouting at you. I had no idea what was going on until Marisa told me. Please forgive me my love," she said sincerely.
Everyone expected Kovu to forgive Kiara immediately and give her a hug telling her he lived and forgave her, but what he did next, left  everyone horrified.
He pushed her to the side.
