"Pricilla belongs to me! She's my cub, I gave birth to her, I nurtured her in my womb! She's mine!" Cindy shrieked as she held Pricilla close to her. Everyone was at the scene, observing the confusion. Cindy stood in front of the pride with Pricilla and Kiara stood next to Kovu, shooting daggers at Cindy. Kiara was naturally a very nice lioness who got along with everyone and anyone who she encountered, but this time she was anything but nice. And if glares could kill, Cindy would be having a bloodbath.

Kiara sucked in a breath and approached Cindy. "Pricilla may be your cub, but she's also Kovu's cub. And since Kovu and I are practically mates, it gives me all rights to Pricilla," she said lowly. "she's comfortable with me," Cindy scoffed and grasped Pricilla even closer to her, causing the small cub to meow loudly. "I don't care how comfortable she is, she can be comfortable with me. I'm her mother and she belongs with me!" Cindy said, her voice rising with each passing second.

"If you're her mother, I'm her father," Kovu said sharply. "And as her father, I have just as much right over her as you do." Everyone grew silent over this. It was the first time Kovu had acknowledged Pricilla as his daughter in such a possesive way. His tone was low but way he said it were sharply illustrated. Kiara looked at Pricilla who was wedged between Cindy's hindlegs, her tiny body was being squeezed and the sight infuriated Kiara.

Without much thought, Kiara shoved Cindy aside and took Pricilla in her teeth, much to the shock of everyone around her, including Kovu. Cindy showed surprise and in just a split second her surprise switched to outrage. She got up and grabbed Kiara by her shoulder and knocked Pricilla out of her mouth with her paws, making the cub cry out in pain. And suddenly in that one moment, all the self control Kiara tried to maintain was shattered. Cindy would pay for this audacious act.

Turning around, Kiara lunged at Cindy with her claws unsheathed. No one saw it coming and it was too late to prevent a fight. Cindy reeled backwards but recovered quickly and in reaction to Kiara's assault, she attacked her right back, sinking her teeth into the back of Kiara's neck and scratching  her simulataneously. Kovu heard Kiara's screams of pain and retaliated. He lunged at Cindy and bit her on her back, forcing her to release his love. When Kiara and Cindy were seperated, Kovu stood inbetween them and glared at Cindy, his expression speaking volumes.

"You have ten seconds to get out of here before I change my mind about sparing your life!" he snapped venemously. Cindy flinched but held her ground. "I am not leaving here without my cub. Give her to me and I'll get out of your lives; forever," she said antagonism written all over her face. "She is NOT coming with you! Leave and don't come back Cindy,  JUST GO!" Kovu shouted. Regardless of the threat, Cindy didn't leave, she stood there and tried once more to take Pricilla but was interceded by Kiara, who was just as furious as Kovu was.

"You heard what he said," she said growling at the opposing lioness. "Pricilla stays with us, and there is nothing you can do to change our decision. LEAVE AND DON'T COME BACK!" Kiara said this with all the fierceness she possessed. Vitani came and stood beside Kiara, her gaze directed at Cindy. "My brother and Kiara are perfectly capable of taking care of Pricilla. She is perfectly safe with us," she said calmly. Then came Marisa who said the same thing. "You have no reason to worry about Pricilla. She will be well cared for and loved by the family,"

Realizing she was beaten, Cindy bent her head and tried to stifle her sob. Raising her head, she looked at her cub and went to pick her up by her scruff to place her at Kiara's paws. She kissed her furry little head and sniffled softly. "Mommy is gonna miss you so much baby," she whispered. "be a good girl and don't give your father any trouble okay? I'll see you again someday, but for now I must say goodbye. I love you my darling,"

Kissing her cub's head once more, Cindy glanced up at Kiara and Kovu, only this time instead of hatred and anger, there was sadness and defeat. After several seconds, Cindy sighed and turned to bound back to wherever she came from. When she was gone, Kiara collapsed on her side with a groan; Kovu was upon her in seconds. "Kiara are you alright?"  Nala asked concerned for her daughter. "Do we need to call Rafiki? Is everything fine dear?"

"Oh yes Mom, everything's just fine," Kiara said wearily as Kovu helped her to stand. Convinced she was strong enough to walkk on her own, Kiara leaned against Kovu and began to walk back home. But before she did, she picked Pricilla up by her scruff and passed her to her mother who took the tiny bundle willingly. Suddenly Pricilla began to meow loudly and stretch towards Kiara. "It looks like she's laid her claim," Kovu said smiling fondly at his daughter. Taking Pricilla back from her mother, Kiara placed her on her back and everyone walked back home.
