Hellooooo (:
So I watched the trailers of If I Stay, The Maze Runner and Lucy and I must say, I can't wait to watch the real movies! But of course, trials come first and blah blah blah.
Dedicated to : @HalilRFC for being a constant supporter of my story!

Chapter 26 || Mr. Hairy Balls
"I'm ready." I gestured for her to go on.
She gave me a meek smile. "I'm sorry," she started off before pausing. "But about the picture in the magazine, I didn't do it."
I paused too before nodding. "I know."
Her eyes widened and she repeated her words in a different way to get her point across. "I didn't write the article."
"I know about that too," I told her. "All I want to hear is your explanation for the previous incident."
She gaped at me for a while before nodding and started, "I was being threatened." she finally admitted.
" Threatened? By whom?" I asked, appalled by the very idea.
"The guy who's planning to take over Maria's position." she replied.
"Oh." The same guy Maria was pissed at.
"I'm so sorry." she buried her face into her hands. "The job was very important to me so I had to betray you." she bowed her head as well to cover up the few tears that were threatening to spill over. I knew Andrea long enough to know that those tears were real.
"But it doesn't matter now, does it?" she asked to no one in particular.
Everything was making sense except for one little thing. "Wait, you told me that, that dude threatened you to betray me, right?"
"Yup. He's new, apparently." she finally lifted her head again to speak. "But he's also super influential. That's the only thing I know about him though. I've never even seen his face before. Every time he wanted to contact me, he would ask someone to look for me. He specifically wanted me to betray you. I didn't want to but-"
"Hold up," I raised one hand to interrupt her. "He wanted you to betray me?" I asked for confirmation.
She nodded slowly, before suddenly gasping in realisation. "It couldn't be."
"I know, but it must be him."

"So," I tried to start up a conversation. "What did he threaten you with?"
"Erm.. my job," she counted them off with her fingers. "Our house, my parents' job, my car..." she trailed off.
"So when you told me that you were broke, you weren't exactly lying, huh?"
She nodded and looked down. There was a pregnant pause before she suddenly whipped her hair around to glance at me. "Come to think about it, I wondered why I didn't realise who he was. I mean, my parents only work for one person. Who else had the power to threaten my parents' job?"
"I told you to lay off the chocolates."
"Hey!" she hit my hand, obviously offended by my comment. "Chocolate didn't and never will affect my IQ or EQ or whatever."
I raised an eyebrow to prove my point. "See? You can't even differentiate between IQ and EQ." I pointed out.
"That too, has nothing to do with my obsession with chocolates," she gave a dreamy smile. "And caramel fraps." she quickly pointed out as well before I could.
