I felt like crap.

I cried for a long time, not moving from my couch. She rejected me; she pushed me away. How could she do that? She loved me, and I loved her.

It took me 380 years to find her, and this is my payment?

I dried my tears after a while. I was a lost cause; I was a monster. She thought she could change me, but she can't. I would always put myself first, no matter what.

I remember how I used to be before the dreams came. I was a good little boy, but once the dreams invaded my sleep, I slowly turned into a monster.

That's what I am now: a monster.

Jacku walked in. He looked at me, worry filling his eyes. "Brother, are you okay?"

I nodded and rose to my feet. "Yes. What is it?"

He blinked, clearly not believing me. "The human has woken up. I thought you may want to see him."

I nodded. "Thank you. I do need to let off a little steam."

Jacku nodded curtly and walked out. I knew it killed him to see me act this way, but this is what I am now.

Just then, one of my soldiers burst in. "Master!"

I stared at him. "What is it? I'm on my way to a very important affair."

He breathed deeply, worry and fear etched in his face. Who could have scared him so badly?

"I have a message from a Maia, Master. She demanded I delivered it to you immediately," he told me once he regained his normal breathing. He took a step closer and spoke in a whisper. "I feared my life in her presence, sir."

I chuckled. I should have known it was her. Maia was the only human this whole compound was afraid of.

I nodded for him to speak. He cleared his throat and spoke. "You go tell your effin' Master that Maia is coming for him, and if he even breathes on Damien or Lucy, I will cut of his limbs one by one and eat them for supper," he repeated.

He bowed his head. "Her words, not mine. Do not end me, Master!"

I waved him away. He rushed out of the door quickly, leaving me chuckling to myself.

I walked into the next room where the human was struggling against his restraints.

"We finally meet," I spoke, causing the man to whip his head up quickly.

"Who are you?" He asked.

I strolled in, shutting the door behind me. "You must call me Master, Damien."

His eyes flashed with fear. "How do you know my name?"

I shrugged. "Maia has told me things about you, such as your name."

Damien glared at me. "What did you do with her?"

I glared back. How dare he act protective of her, as if she belonged to him? She was mine.

Mine.

I was in his face so quick he flinched seconds after I was there. I glared at him and growled menacingly. "That's none of your concern, seeing as she doesn't belong to you."

He shrunk back, but his voice was defiant. "And she belongs to you?"

I smiled at first, but it quickly dropped to a sad frown as I remembered our last encounter. "She does."

He raised his eyebrow. "Did I strike a nerve, you sick monster?"

I kicked him in the stomach with all of my strength, sending him flying into the wall. Luckily, his chair was metal, but that didn't stop it from bending as it flew through the wall into the next room.

Hazers watched as he rolled to a stop in the middle of the security room. Damien coughed until blood spurted out of his mouth. The Hazers followed his path until everyone's gazes landed on me. They all looked shocked and scared as I glared at each and every one of them.

"Stop standing there and move him into a hole-free room!" I roared.

Everyone snapped out of their stupors and rushed to pick up the human and damaged chair. I followed them as they walked into another room and placed him on the ground. They all turned to me and waited.

"GET OUT!' I roared.

They scrambled out quickly, stumbling over each other as the door slammed shut behind them. I turned to face Damien, who was lying on the floor in a small pool of blood. I walked over to him and untied him. I pulled him up and tied his tied his hands behind back as he swayed.

"What are-" *cough* "- you gonna do-" *cough* "- with me?" he asked.

I bent down untl I was in in face once again. "You're bait, so I'm just going to sling you around."

I punched him on the jaw before he could speak. He cried out as I rained punches on his body. I punched him until my anger slowly faded and was replaced by a numb feeling.

I slowly stood up straight as Damien slumped over, unconscious. I walked out only to be blocked by Jacku.

"What is it, Jacku?" I asked tiredly.

I looked at his face and was shocked. His face was pale and streaked with tears. He was slumped over, his eyes filled with pain.

"Brother, what has happened?" I asked, worried for my brother and best friend.

He shook his head. "Don't concern yourself with it. I need to tell you something, that's all."

I knew something was wrong, but i let it silde. "What is it?'

He sighed. "It's her. She's charging the grounds and killing everyone in sight. No one can stop her; she's got freakin grenades!"

I clenched my fists. "Let's go."

***

I watched as Maia fired bullet after bullet into Hazer's unsuspecting bodies. She flung grenades at the masses of blue soldiers, making a path for herself to the door.

I turned to Jacku. "Get her sister and put her on the ship, along with their companion."

Jacku's eyebrows furrowed. "You're going to take them with you? Why?"

I growled. "So she'll know how she hurt me."

Jacku shook his head and ran out of the door. I grabbed the nearest Hazers and growled, "Get the ship ready now. We're leaving."

They all nodded and ran out of the door to the ship. I turned my attention back to the security screens as Maia made her way closer and closer to me. She glanced up after killing two Hazers and noticed the camera. She walked right underneath it and glared up at the screen. I turned up the volume as I watched her lips move.

"...kill you if you try anything with my sister, you arrogant concieted asshat!" she roared as I turned up the volume.

I watched as her eyes swirled, a glowing blue mixing with her hazel. My eyes widened. That's not supposed to happen.

"GET THE SHIP PREPARED FOR FLIGHT NOW!" I screamed as Maia gave me a horrifying snarl. I jumped back from the screen as she continued her journey to find and kill me.
