"Formidable," I hissed as I stared at the last bar I could find in my neighborhood. The fifth one to be exact. I pushed the doors opened and let my eyes wander around. It didn't take me but 3 seconds to spot them.
"Rock, paper, scissors, 1, 2, 3," Alexander and John sang as they drew their hand out. "Goddammit!" John shrieked as he saw Alexander had drawn rock. "How did you do that?" John asked slurring his words together as he looked at Alexander's hand. "You draw scissors every single time, John," Alexander reminded him, sounding even drunker than John.
"I thought you were stupid enough to fall for that," John spat out with a daze. I frowned as I looked around even more to see every guy. "Shoot," I cursed as I pinched the bridge of my nose. "Jefferson!" I heard behind me as I felt an arm being tossed over my shoulders. I looked to the side to see Lee. "How did you guys make it here without being run over by Manhatten traffic?" I asked him. He shrugged at me with a clueless look on his face. I face-palmed and turned my head back towards him.
"How many cups did Y'all drink?" (Credit to my friend Birgit who helped me with this sentence) I asked. "Over 5 at least," He answered. "Each?" I asked. "Each." He confirmed in a drunken tone. I sighed.
"Where's the holy bean?" I asked as I looked around. "He got drunk of holy wine," Lee sighed with a light chuckle. "...Excuse me?" I asked. "Something about beer being from Satan," He pondered out loud. "My God," I hissed and removed his arm off my shoulder to talk to Burr.
I thought he was sober, but I was wrong. "Heyyyyyy," Aaron greeted me as he gave me finger guns and proceeded to fall off his chair. Yeah, I wasn't gonna deal with that. I skipped Washington and George as they sh*t talked about who's the better George. I was rushing towards the door in fury. I couldn't believe they all went behind my back and then went to a sh*tty bar!
I turned my head over my shoulder so I could have a final look at all of them. That's when I saw it. "Lafayette, don't." I heard an order being sneered. It was Hercules holding Lafayette by the shoulders. In front of Lafayette was Thomas. "Je ne t'ai pas insulté, Thomas. Alors pourquoi m'as-tu insulté?!" Lafayette hissed at Thomas. "Because you deserve it," Thomas spat back with a drunken aura surrounding him.
I groaned as my hand lingered on the door handle. What was I supposed to do? Let the 2 of them knock the living Jesus out of each other? I can't do that. I know that Thomas can fight...No hold up. I don't...Do I?
"Time to meet the fate of your so-called 'husband'. See you in hell dear!" He chuckled as he raised the sword above his head and swung it towards me. Then I heard a gunshot, followed by a sword clattering down onto the marble floor. I looked up to see George with a shocked expression. I looked where he was looking and widened my eyes. "Thomas!" I sobbed with tears in my eyes. "Ey my dude, I hope you weren't going to do what I think you were going to do because THAT'S MY WIFE!" He yelled furiously.
I looked to the side with a painful expression as I let my hand get heavier and open the door. I stepped outside. I blew out my hot breath into the cold night sky, let my hands slide into my pockets and walked away.
(Behind the scenes: I originally intended for her to stay but...It didn't turn out like I wanted to)
When I was back home, I let my eyes travel to the vibrating phone on the table. I sighed and reached into my back pocket to find out that I left my phone at home. I picked the phone up and answered. "Lin," I sighed. "Y/N, I'm this close to firing you," Lin stated as I heard his foot tap on the ground. "There are a lot of girls who want to take your place so it wouldn't be a problem to find someone who can take their job seriously," Lin harshly stated. I sighed.
"Lin, your musical is a lie," I stated with a defeated tone. I heard a dramatic gasp.
"Who dare you?!" He b*tched as I heard his fist being slammed on the table. "Calm," I demanded. "I AM CALM!" He yelled at me. "Look, meet up with me tomorrow and I'll explain everything. Why I've been acting off, why I've been messed up in the head. You may not believe me, but I can give it a shot," I explained as he pondered out loud.
"I already think you're crazy, I don't think you can make it worse," He chuckled slightly. "Wow, thanks," I chuckled. "I'm kinda fed up with everything, I need to get rid of it and tell it to someone I can trust," I sighed which made Lin concerned. "Should I be worried?" He asked as I could already imagine him cocking an eyebrow. "Nah, you're good fam," I told him.
"Okay, tomorrow at 8?" I asked as he hummed in approval. "I'll get you some coffee," He offered. "Thanks," I grinned. "Good night," I saluted. "G'night," He stated as I hung up.
"You're gonna get rid of us?"
I skipped a heartbeat.
