Ryan arrived at the nearest bus stop to his home, his heart still heavy from his lies of the day. The heaviness carried to his feet as Ryan trudged along the pavement, his mother's house in sight down the street. Small gusts of wind picked at his skirt once in a while and his bottoms of his shoes dragged themselves against the ground.

When he finally unlocked the front door, he managed to do a fine job of fibbing right to his mother's face. Then he would have to continue his fibbing towards his best friend and Brendon; Ryan didn't quite know what status Brendon had in his life, but the boy was still in his life somehow.
