Evan P.O.V.

As my luggage was taken from the car and put on the plane I got my son out of the car.

I was headed to New York for business and was bringing my son Deacon along with me as a part of his birthday present.

He loves when he gets to feel like a big boy so taking him on my business trip excited him.

"We get to ride in the big plane?" Deacon asked as he looked at the private plane waiting for us.

"Yeah bud we do," I said.

"Cool," he said amazed.

I smiled seeing how all this amazed him. Its cool seeing the world through my kids' eyes because everything is so amazing to them since they are young and pure.

As I closed the car door I saw an Audi convertible spyder pull up.

I looked to see who was pulling up. The only person I was waiting on was Zoey. She was coming with me to New York. She was coming because well it was her job and to do me the favor of watching Deacon while I was in my meetings.

The car stopped not to far away from me and I saw Caleb in the driver's seat along with Zoey in the passenger seat.

What was this?

Caleb and I have been friends since we were kids. He did do me wrong but fixed it and hasn't crossed me since.

He lost two million dollars of my money once but managed to get back on his feet and pay me back.

He's been on the up and up ever since turning his life around and getting out of all the legal trouble he'd been in.

I saw Caleb get out of his car.

He walked over to the passenger side and opened the door for Zoey.

Zoey smiled at him and took his hand as he helped her out of his car.

Caleb closed the car door and grabbed Zoey's bag for her.

They began walking towards me and I noticed Caleb had his arm around Zoey's waist.

Really what was this?

"Hey Caleb. What are you doing here?" I asked as Caleb approached me with Zoey.

"Just dropping this gorgeous girl off," Caleb smirked.

Zoey blushed at his words.

"Well thanks for the ride... and last night," Zoey said to Caleb.

"You're welcome. I'll see you when you get back. Text me," Caleb said.

Zoey nodded and Caleb leaned in to kiss her.

He pecked her lips then handed her bag to the worker who was putting the luggage on the plane.

Caleb left and went back to his car and I watched as Zoey watched him leave.

She seemed smitten by him.

That's not good.

After Caleb left we all boarded the private plane.

I got Deacon settled in his seat with my ipad in his hand.

I sat beside him and Zoey sat across from me.

"So you and Caleb..." I started.

"I met him a time or two when he came by the office to see you but we've never really talked until your son's birthday party," Zoey explained knowing I wanted details.

"So what happened at my son's birthday party?" I asked curiously.

"We talked..." she said.

"And..." I asked wanting more details.

"And he asked me out," she admitted.

"So you two went out last night?" I asked.

"Not really..." Zoey said being coy.

"Zoey what did you two do?" I asked bluntly.

"He invited me over to his place and had a personal chief teach us how to cook a meal. It was cute actually and kind of an out of the box date idea. We cooked dinner together and ate. We talked about life and it was nice," Zoey said.

"So you like him?" I asked.

"Yeah. He's nice... it also helps that he's hot and well established," Zoey said.

"You're young and Caleb is still a man child so be careful," I said.

"He's more mature than you might think. He really looks up to you though. He said he wants to settle down and have a family like you do someday," Zoey said.

That was the first time I was hearing of Caleb wanting to settle down.

He was all for being a playboy until he was old and grey. Now he wants to find the one and have a family.... I found that a bit strange.

"Still like I said... be careful with him. Caleb isn't always as he seems," I said.

"Evan I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself. But thanks for the concern," Zoey said.

The pilot told us he was about to take off and to make sure we were buckled up.

I ended our conversation taking the hint that Zoey didn't want me meddling into her personal life.

Zoey is like a younger sister and friend to me. She's more than just a personal assistant. I care about what happens to her.

Jasmine P.O.V.

I rang the doorbell as I arrived at my Grandma Ruby's house. Evan was out of town on a business trip and took Deacon with him so it was just Deacon, Noah, and I.

The front door opened and my grandma looked so happy to see the kids and me.

She had called and asked if I could come over around noon with the kids. She said she hadn't seen Carson or Deacon in a little while and wanted to see them. She also hadn't met Noah.

"There's my handsome grandbabies," she gushed as she saw Carson and Noah.

"Hi Grandma Ruby," Carson said as he gave her a hug.

My kids see Evan's parents way more than they ever see my Grandma. Things are just more comfortable that way.

"Where is Deacon? I know he had a birthday recently," Grandma Ruby said.

"He's with his father," I said.

"You could have brought Evan with you," my Grandma said.

"He had a work obligation," I said.

"Well you all come inside. I made some sandwiches incase anyone is hungry," my Grandma said.

We walked into the living room and my Grandma has a plate on the table with sandwiches and cookies. She had glasses of lemonade too.

Carson sat down on the couch and I sat Noah's car seat on the floor. I made Carson a plate with a half a sandwich and one cookie.

"Do you have a straw for him to drink the lemonade?" I asked my Grandma.

"Yes in the kitchen. Let me go get him one," she said.

My Grandma went to get Carson a straw and I heard the doorbell ring.

"Jasmine could you get the door for me!" my Grandma called out.

"Carson watch your brother and don't make a mess," I said before I left the living room.

Carson nodded as he chewed his sandwich.

I walked to the front door and unlocked it.

I slowly opened the door.

When I saw who was standing on the porch I about fainted.

"Hey Sis... it's been awhile hasn't it," Claudette said.
