Evan P.O.V.

I went outside to check the garage before turning the alarm on.

As I walked by the cars I saw a ticket in the dash of Jasmine's car.

I unlocked the car and pulled the ticket out.

It was a valet ticket from the hotel downtown.

What had she been doing there?

She said she had wedding errands to run so the hotel downtown wouldn't have been anywhere on her list of places to go.

I grabbed the ticket and closed the door. I locked the door then went back in the house.

I turned on the alarm and headed back upstairs.

I walked down the hall and checked the kids rooms to make sure the kids were sleeping.

My kids were good so I headed to the master bedroom.

Jasmine was in bed texting on her phone and I was kind of suspicious.

"Who you texting?" I asked.

"Just your mom. My dress fit perfect when I went to try it on today," Jasmine said.

I walked over to the bed and put the ticket on the bed.

"What were you doing at the hotel downtown today?" I asked.

Jasmine looked up from her phone. She looked at me then down at the valet ticket on the bed.

"What are you going through my car now!" Jasmine said defensively.

Why the hell was she so defensive?

I just asked a simple question.

"First of all check your tone. Second I bought every damn car in that garage so if I want to go through them I will. But to answer your question no I didn't go through your car. I happened to see the ticket on the dash and wondered what you might have been doing at the hotel today. So you want to answer me that question and stop catching an unnecessary attitude with me," I said.

"I had business to handle," Jasmine said nonchalantly.

"What kind of business?" I asked wanting her to be more specific.

"Just business. Can we go to bed," she said.

She put her phone down on the nightstand and I walked over to grab it.

I picked up her phone and it asked for the code.

I put in the code and it didn't work.

"Since when have you changed your phone's passcode?" I asked.

"Evan I'm not doing this with you tonight. Get in bed and lets go to sleep," Jasmine said.

"Unlock this damn phone," I demanded getting a little heated.

First the valet ticket on her dash, then her catching an unnecessary attitude over an innocent question, and now she has changed her phone's passcode. She was hiding something.

"No and don't talk to me like that," Jasmine said.

"Unlock this damn phone or so help me I'll fucking break it," I threatened.

"Put my phone down Evan. You're acting so crazy," Jasmine said as she got out of bed.

"What were you doing at that hotel? Better yet who were you meeting?" I accused.
