"Tori's pregnant and I could be the father," I blurted out before I lost my nerve.

Jasmine's beautiful brown eyes looked at me with confusion. She pulled away from me and I feared what would happen next.

Would she tell me she hates me and throw her ring in my face? Will she call off our wedding and end our relationship?

"Baby did you hear what I just said?" I asked fearful of her reaction.

Jasmine's demeanor was calm, which scared me. At any moment she could switch up and go off on me.

"Do you want garlic bread with your spaghetti?" Jasmine asked.

My mind was blown!

She just skipped over what I just told her and was concerned about what I wanted for dinner.

Did she not hear what I just said or was she blocking it out.

Either way she couldn't ignore it. I know I wish I could but I couldn't either.

Tori's pregnant and it's something we have to acknowledge.

"Baby forget about dinner did you hear what I just told you," I said as I reached for her.

"The kids are hungry I'm going to go start the spaghetti. So yes or no to the garlic bread?" Jasmine asked still ignoring the huge elephant in the room.

"Forget about dinner Jasmine! I just told you that Tori is pregnant," I said.

"I'm going to go start dinner," Jasmine said nonchalantly as she walked right out the door as if I didn't just break huge news to her.

Was Jasmine just going to ignore what I said?

I walked out the office and followed Jasmine.

She walked into the kitchen and I stood in the doorway. I watched her just start dinner like I didn't just tell her another woman could be having my child.

As I watched Jasmine my oldest son ran past me.

"Mom me and Carson want juice," Deacon said as she ran up to his mother.

"Ok sweetie," Jasmine said.

Jasmine gabbed two juice boxes for the boys.

"Here have your grandma open them for you boys," Jasmine said as she handed the juice boxes to Deacon.

Deacon smiled and ran out the kitchen, back into the living room.

I walked over to Jasmine and stood by the counter.

"Talk to me," I said.

"Could you fill this pot with water? Then turn on the stove so I can have the water boil," Jasmine said giving me a task to help with dinner.

I did as she asked of me because in all honesty her not screaming at me right now was a blessing.

After I put the pot of water on the stove to boil I went back to trying to talk to Jasmine.

"Jas we have to talk about it," I said.

"Could you go see if Noah's awake?" Jasmine asked.

"Baby talk to me about what I just told you!" I pushed.

I was frustrated. I wanted us to talk about this and for her to just yell at me if she was going to.

"There isn't anything to talk about," Jasmine said.
