Jasmine P.O.V.

I walked into Evan's home office feeling sick to my stomach. He said he wanted to talk.

Nothing good ever comes from someone saying they want to talk.

I was worried and I felt like I had every right to be. I mean Evan told me he was needed at Caleb's place and I knew that was a lie.

I knew it was a lie because I ran into Zoey and Caleb at the grocery store. Zoey was getting a pregnancy test.

I seems those two are much more serious than anyone would have ever thought.

Anyway getting back on task. So I knew Evan was lying to me about where he went.

Was he about to tell me the truth?

"Come sit down," he said as he sat down on the couch in his office.

"I'm fine standing. Evan what is this about? I need to get dinner started the boys are hungry," I said.

"Jas please just come sit down beside me baby," Evan insisted.

I hesitantly walked over and sat down beside him. He seemed nervous.

"What is it," I said.

Evan reached for my hands and held them in his. I could feel that his hands were slightly sweaty.

Why is he so nervous? I can feel his nervous energy.

"You know I love you right? You know you make me the happiest man alive. You know the boys and you are everything to me and always will be," Evan said.

I slowly pulled my hands out of his.

Why is he saying all this sweet stuff?

He's setting me up for bad news. I can just feel it.

"Evan spit it out!" I said as I stood up quickly.

"I lied to you when I said I was going to see Caleb," Evan admitted.

Had Caleb warned Evan that I ran into him at the grocery store?

"I know I ran into him at the grocery store. Seems Zoey might have a bun in the oven..." I said.

"Huh?" Evan questioned.

"They were there getting a pregnancy test," I clarified.

"Speaking of pregnancy..." Evan started.

"Is that what's on your mind, us having a fourth child? Evan I already agreed to baby number four. I promise you're getting at least one more child from me... hopefully it's a girl," I said happily as I moved back towards Evan.

I sat down on his lap and he wrapped his arms around me protectively.

"I love you so much Jas... I never want anything to ever come between us like in the past. I never want to lose you," Evan said lovingly.

"Well I love you too. Don't worry nothing is breaking us up. I'm in for the long haul babe. Which reminds me we should go cake tasting this upcoming week. With the wedding two months out I think getting the food menu confirmed is top priority since we've got the venue locked in. I think your mom and I might even be going wedding dress shopping this Friday. She said she knows the owner of a luxury wedding boutique in New York. Apparently they have an on hand designer who makes custom dresses for brides, bridesmaids, and mother of the brides. You know stuff like that. We also should get you fitted for a suit. I know you're going to look handsome in anything so I'll trust you to pick your own suit. You have any requests for lingerie you'd like me to wear on our wedding night and on our honeymoon. I want to wear things you like seeing me in as well as taking off me. We should pick a honeymoon location as well. I was thinking something tropical and exotic sounds good. I'm imagining sex on the beach... a private beach that is," I giggled at the last part.

I was actually getting excited about wedding planning and marrying Evan. Before I was hesitant to plan my wedding because I felt Evan didn't really hear me or my dreams. But now that we've turned this corner in our relationship and are on the same page I couldn't wait to be his wife and call him my husband.

"I like seeing how happy planning the wedding is making you," Evan said as he looked at me like he was admiring me.

"I am happy. I'm happy we've gotten on solid ground and we've got a better foundation in our relationship. You see me and are supporting my dreams. It's amazing knowing that we're open and honest with each other more than before and are just in this great space. I think after the wedding and honeymoon we should get focused on starting our own business," I smiled.

I kissed Evan's cheek and I felt him loosen his hold around me.

"Babe what's the matter. You're frowning?" I questioned.

"I've waited my whole life to be in love like this. To have this family we've built," Evan said.

"Ok..." I said confused.

"Jasmine I need to tell you something," Evan said.

"Babe whatever it is I know it can't be that bad right," I said with a smile.

I cupped Evan's face in my hands and pecked his lips softly.

"Tell me babe. You can tell me anything just like I know I can tell you anything," I said letting him know this was a safe space.

Evan took a deep breath and moved me off his lap.

He sat me on the couch and stood up.

He put his hands in his pockets and began pacing the floor.

He was starting to scare me.

He seemed torn between telling me whatever it was on his mind or keeping it to himself.

"You already know I didn't go meet Caleb when I left the house," Evan said.

"Yeah... But I assume it was because you were getting a surprise for me maybe?" I smiled.

I stood up and grabbed Evan's hand.

I wrapped my arms around him and looked up at him.

"I usually wouldn't want to get each other gifts on our wedding day but I think we should. I'm not saying we should get anything extravagant just something meaningful. I want that day to be something special for us to look back on for the rest of our lives," I said.

I rested my head to his chest and listened to his heartbeat.

"I'm going to be Mrs. Sharp like your mom babe. Although no one holds a candle to your mother. She's been so great to me and so supportive of us. Seeing as I have no family she's really made me feel like apart of yours. I don't know how to ever thank her for always being here for us and the kids. From the first time I met her she's welcomed me with open arms. She's always been patient and understanding. Not once has she been judgmental towards me or our relationship. She's been such a godsend. I would have loved if my mother was still alive to help me plan the wedding and to have met you. I think she would have liked you. I know I've never said it or even acted like it but Evan I truly trust you with my whole heart now. I'm not holding back anymore or being afraid like in the past. I appreciate the love you've always shown me from early on in our relationship to now. You've loved me patiently and kindly and for that I'm so thankful. I know you love me so much and wouldn't do anything to ever hurt or betray me. I'm marrying a good man one I know any woman would want or be lucky to call hers," I said as I looked up at Evan with pure love in my eyes.

"Tori's pregnant and I could be the father," Evan blurted out.

My whole body froze at his words.

I just poured my heart out to him letting my guard down completely.

Letting him know I loved him just as much as he loved me. Letting him know how grateful I am to have him in my life.

But the words that just left his mouth had to be some kind of sick joke. I must have heard him wrong right.

He didn't just say what I think he said, did he?

Did he just say what I think he said?
