Evan P.O.V.

I said thank you and closed the door. It had been a couple days since taking the DNA test and today I was delivered the results. A messenger delivered them.

I was scared to see what the test results would reveal.

I walked into the living room and Jasmine was sitting on the couch on her ipad as the kids played and Noah crawled on the floor.

"The results are in," I said as I walked into the room.

Jasmine put her ipad down and nodded. She got up and we walked into the kitchen.

I put the envelope down on the counter as Jasmine stood beside me.

"Before I open the results I want you to know what ever they say we are still a family. You and I are forever ok," I said.

"Evan please just open the envelope," Jasmine said as she crossed her arms.

I picked up the envelope and ripped it open.

I pulled out the paper and began looking at the results.

I read the results and my heart nearly stopped.

"What does it say?" Jasmine asked.

I handed her the paper and ran my hand over my face in disbelief.

"I'm not the father," I said faintly in disbelief.

"You're not the father," Jasmine repeated as she read the results.

"I'm not the father!" I said relieved.

Jasmine put the paper down and smiled.

"You're not the father," she said happily.

I scooped Jasmine up in my arms and spun her around.

I was so happy!

I wasn't the father of Tori's baby.

This was great news!

"I'm not the father!" I said overjoyed.

I put Jasmine back on her feet and cupped her face in my hands.

"I'm not the father," I said again.

I could say it a hundred times!

I kissed Jasmine and she wrapped her arms around me. I hugged her tight so glad this was over.

I wasn't the father of Tori's baby and now she'll be out of our lives for good.

"I was so worried baby. I'm so glad I'm not having a child with her," I said relieved.

"I'm glad too. Now we can look forward to our future without her interference. We're getting married in a few weeks. Then it'll be Christmas and we'll get to celebrate with the kids. Then comes the New Year and we'll start our business. I'm so happy," Jasmine said.

"I'm so happy too. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you," I said.

I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders now. Now that I had confirmation that I wasn't Tori's child's father I could actually get excited about the future.

"So now that we have that out of the way should I start planning our Christmas trip?" Jasmine asked.

"We're just going to the house in Vermont like usual right?" I asked.

"Yeah and your parents are coming too right?" Jasmine asked.

"I don't really want my father there but I guess yeah," I said.
