Ashton: “Babe, I need socks!” Ashton called down the hall. “Did you check your drawer?” you laughed, flipping the bacon in the pan. “I guess that’d be smart huh,” you heard him giggle to himself. You took a deep breath. You hid a tiny sock in his drawer earlier this morning. You two had been trying for a baby for about a month or so; you’d been feeling a little off lately so your best friend told you to take a test just in case. It turned out she was right and you guys were finally going to be parents, you just had to break the news to your husband.
In the room, Ashton opened his sock drawer to grab a pair when he noticed a tiny white sock. “Hmm… that’s rather odd. Guess it shrunk in the dryer,” he shrugged his shoulders heading into the bathroom to brush his teeth. On the edge of the sink was a rubber duck. “What the…” he grabbed the duck and headed down the hall. “Y/N! Hey, where did this duck come from?” he stopped abruptly in the door way to see you standing there, holding a tiny brown bear holding mini drumsticks and sporting a tiny bandana. “Aww babe, did you get this just for me?” You laughed, shaking your head no. “Guess again,” you smiled, holding the bear down in front of your stomach. His eyes followed your movements, he stood there, quizzical look on his face before it all clicked.
His eyes went wide, “No way. Seriously? Are you… ya know..” he took a step toward you, placing his hands on your hips. “I’m pregnant, Ash. You’re gonna be a daddy,” you smiled. He kissed your passionately before kneeling before you, placing one hand on your stomach. “Hey there little thing,” he said smiling, “I’m your daddy. One day, these little drumsticks are gonna be yours and you’re gonna drive your mumma crazy.” You smiled, pulling him to his feet and kissing him once more.
Calum: Calum lay on your shared bed, hands settled behind his head on the pillow while he watched trashy reality television; it was his guilty pleasure. He loved to watch the drama of it all. You came out from the bathroom, crawling into bed next to him. He put one of his arms around you, pulling you close. You rested your head on his chest, one around slung around his waist. “So which show is this one?” you asked, eyes on the tellie. “This is Real Housewives of Atlanta. There’s literally an argument every five minutes, it’s amazing,” he gushed. You laughed into his chest, “Do the guys know you watch this yet?” His eyes went wide, “Hell no! And they are not about to find out, missy!” he kissed you lightly before turning to watch the show again.
On the next commercial you picked up the remote. You clicked the guide button and started scrolling stopping when you reached the PBSkids station which currently was showing an episode of Little Einsteins. “Babe, what the hell are you doing?” Calum asked reaching for the remote, but you pulled it away. “Uh, Cal honey. These are the kind of shows you’re gonna need to get used to watching soon.” He shook his head, obviously confused. “Calum. I’m pregnant,” you stated bluntly.
His mouth dropped. Eyes shifting from yours to your stomach, then back to your eyes. “Wha-when did you find out?” he asked, still slightly shocked. “Just now, while I was in the bathroom I took a test,” you admitted. “That’s what was taking you so long? Though you were just taking a poo,” he laughed, you smacked his chest. “Calum! Gross!” He giggled, pulling you down to him, “Can’t believe it. I’m gonna be a dad.” You smiled, “Yeah, you’re gonna be the best dad.” He smiled at you, kissing your lips softly.
Luke: You had gone out shopping with your cousin. Since you were going out and Luke was stuck at rehearsals all day he asked you to pick up a new pair of black vans for him. Of course you obliged, it wasn’t a problem, but what Luke didn’t know was that you were also going to get something else. Something to surprise him, a special way to tell him that he was going to be a father.
Luke came home exhausted, throwing his back by the door and toeing off his worn out vans. “Hey love,” you called from the living room. “Your new shoes are in the kitchen.” He walked over to you, kissing your forehead, “Thank you, babe.” You smiled to yourself, because what Luke was going to find were not his new shoes. “Uh, babe, did you forget what size I wear?” Luke walked into the living room holding a pair of infant sized black vans in the palm of his massive hand. “Oh my mistake,” you said, getting up and grabbing the bag behind the couch, “Yours are in this bag.” You took his from the bag and walked over to him switching them out for the infant sized ones.
“Okay…” he started, “If these ones are mine, then where did those come from.” He pointed to the tiny pair in your hand. “These,” you wiggled them in his face, “are for when baby boy, or baby girl Hemmings arrives.” You smiled at him, watching all the dots begin to connect in his brain. He picked you up suddenly twirling you around, “You’re serious? You’re, we’re having a baby?” he asked excitedly. You nodded before he leaned down, kissing you lovingly. He then took the infant vans from you and held them in his hand and kneeled before your stomach, “I cannot wait for you to come out and wear these with me, ya hear me peanut?” He kissed your stomach tenderly before standing up and kissing you once more.
Michael: One thing that really relaxed you when you were a little stressed was cooking; luckily for you, Michael loved to eat. This meal was going to take him a little by surprise though. You were pregnant, but you hadn’t told him yet. You found out two days ago and wanted to tell him in a special way so you decided to combine your two favorite things, cooking and him. You had it all planned, you were going to cook him lamb chops, baby carrots and baby potatoes. You were hoping with a little hinting that he’d get the gist of what was going on.
Michael arrived home just as you were pulling the lamb chops from the oven. “Mmmm, baby, whatever your making smells absolutely delicious,” he came up behind you, snaking his arms around your waist and kissing your neck. You giggled, turning your head to give him a proper kiss, “How was your day?” You grabbed the pan with the meat, quickly bringing it to the middle of the table with the rest of dinner before gesturing to Michael to sit down. You went to grab him a beer and a glass of water for yourself as he started to speak. “It was amazing. Calum and I met up with Alex and we cranked out three songs, one of which you’re kind of my inspiration so I really hope you like it,” he smiled at you as you blushed. You both added food to your plates while chatting about the rest of your days. You told him about shopping with your friends and he told you about the stupid jokes Cal was telling him.
About midway through the meal you spoke up, “Hey, Mikey, do you, uh, notice a theme with tonight’s dinner?” He looked up at you, mouth full of meat, “Whadda mean?” he muffled. “Look at your plate, tell me everything that’s on it and think really hard.” He looked down at food, picking at each item, “Okay, well, we have these amazing lamb chops, these baby carrots, and baby potatoes…” he started quizzically before whispering them all to himself again, “lamb chops, baby carrots, baby potatoes…baby carrots, baby…OH MY GOSH, Y/N!” He looked up at you wide eyed, “Babe, are you, are your pregnant?” he got up from his place at the table walking around to kneel down beside you. You smiled, tears brimming your eyes from happiness and you shook your head yes. He wrapped his arms around your waist pulling you into a tight hug, you put your arms around his neck to hold him tighter. “Oh my gosh, I can’t believe this,” he whispered into your neck. “I love you so much, Michael,” you said leaning back to look at him fully. “I love you too, Y/N,” he said placing a kiss to your forehead, “And I love you little bean,” he said leaning down and giving your stomach a soft kiss.
