chapter 29: "Don't be afraid?" How can i not?

*(Y/N)'s P.O.V*

~Dream~

I looked around to see i was in some sort of cell "where am i?" i mumbled to myself "(Y-Y/N)..." someone mumbled weakly. I gasped as i recognized that voice "Zero? Where are you?" i called out "over here" he whispered, i followed him voice to find him chained up in the corner "what happened?!" i yelled "i was out of control so i was locked up please you have to leave" he explained "what? No! not until i get you out of here" i protested leaning down and pulling on his chins to release him but it wouldnt budge "g-go" he mumbled "no! not until you are safe!" i yelled "GO!!" he yelled back his eyes burning red. I gasped and fell back onto my behind rather painfully "b-but..." "(Y/N) you remember what my master said? What will you chose?" he asked. I gulped and scooted closer "take my blood Zero...the only other option would be to let you die and i won't let that happen" i ordered "i can't-" "ZERO! Now...before it's too late" i yelled. He gulped his hands suddenly free pulling me towards him i felt his breath on my neck and next thign i knew his fangs were sunk deep into my flesh.

I winced and gasped for air and his jaws clamped down further, i fell limp in his amrs but was still conscious. More blood left my body and i could feel my life essence getting literally sucked out, my soul was dying, my breath short, my heart beating slower and slower. My mind was becoming hazy and before i passed for good Zero looked at me and with his finger he took some of the blood and started writting on the wall 'was this what you wanted? Well then this is what you get now DIE!!!'

~Dream end~

I shot up with an ear pirecing scream tears flowing freely down my face, my bringing my knees to my chest i rested my face in the, covering my head with my hands i rocked back and forth. My door burst open and i only flinched "(Y/N)!" a familiar voice called but i was too afraid to look. Arms wrapped around me and all i did was whimper in fear "it's okay, i'm here now...i told the other's to go back to bed it's just us okay? I'm here like i always was, i'm here" he repeated in my ear over and over again softly. I lifted my head slightly to be met with a mop of dark brown hair and very concerned reddish-brownish eyes "K-Kaname?" i whispered "yeah, i'm here okay?" he asked, I nodded and allowed him to pull me into his lap and cradle me back and forth. My head was buried in his chest his arms were wrapped around me i gripped his night shirt tightly in my hands and refused to close my eyes in fear that i was going to see the image of Zero killing me again "it's okay, you don't have to be afraid" he mumbled. With no will power to speak i only shook my head and buried it further in Kaname's chest.

Kaname stayed with me the rest of the night (day acutally but you get the drift) juse holding me and making sure that i didn't have another panic attack. The tears had long dried but i was still terrified so i just sat the shaking and whimpering as Kaname had left to get me some warm tea being a pureblood i could go much longer without the need for any blood. He handed me the warm mug and i let the sweet aroma waft into my nose calming me slightly, i sipped the hot beverage and sighed in contempt as i trickled down my throat that had been sore from sobbing and soothed it. The slight bitterness was pushed away but the sweetness and there it was happiness in a mug, Kaname noticed my relaxed state and chuckled "i'm guessing you won't tell me what happened?" he asked, i shook my head "would you like me to stay longer?" i thouht for a moment before hesitantly nodding. Kaname smiled as warm as the tea and sat down next to me he had such a comforting aura it almost made me want to fall asleep.

I finished my tea and set the mug on the bed side table, my eyes drooped and i slumped falling onto Kaname's shoulder as sleep tried to overtake me, he chuckled and laid me down. Pulling the blankets under my chin he leaned over and i closed my eyes expecting the random kisses on the lips he usually gives me but instead he placed one on my forehead. Kaname brushed some hair from my forehead and stood up from the bed preparing to walk away but before he could i grabbed his sleeve, turning his head back to me in shock he threw me a confused look. I shook my head "p-please....stay?" i asked. He nodded with a smiled and walked round to the other side of the bed, laying under the covers with me he pulled me to his chest. I blushed but didn't protest cuddling firther into his chest i closed my eyes and surprisingly i wasn't scared...not now that i had someone next to me or was it that it was just Kaname? Who knows...

*Author's P.O.V*

Kaname smiled and stroked (Y/N)'s hair tenderly as her breathing became steady and he was sure she had fallen asleep. He pecked her forehead and sighed 'if only it was me that was truly in her heart...maybe i am but i know it's not just me i wish it was but i musn't be selfish. She has the right to chose for herself' Kaname thought as he felt the soft beating of her heart againt his own chest 'i'm happy though, she's alright, she's here and she at least feels something for me' he continued. Closing his eyes he allowed himself to fall asleep along his beloved if only it were that easy...if only it were only one that (Y/N) loved but it wasn't unfortunately and Kaname was more than worthy with the way he treats her but other's were as well...will Kaname's love beat all, or will it be Takuma's? Aido's? Shiki's or perhaps Zero's? No one knows for sure not even me but...i have faith that this will go as you want but i think we're all wondering the same thing..."what on Earth will happen?"
