chapter 27: Long time no see

*(Y/N)'s P.O.V*

My eyes opened slowly, my face stiff from the dry tears and my eyes red and puffy. I got up and changed my uniform for a fresh one noot bothering to have a bath and walked towards the dressing table to see if i could fix the mess that was me. After quite alot of work i looked just as though i hadn't cried, i tried to smile in the mirror but it just fell with a sigh i walked out of the room and downstairs where the rest of the night class stood preparing to leave. Everyone noticed my depressing aura "are you alright?" Shiki asked quietly, my lips twitched as i tried to smile but it was just another failure "i'm fine, thanks for asking" i replied, i could tell nobody believed the words that just escaped my lips but they ignored it.

The fangirls cheered and some fanboys roared for Ruka, Rima and me. I waved at them and even the class prez. Zero stood in the background leaning against a tree 'that's right, i haven't seen him in a while' he smiled at me rather uncharacteristically and all i could do was wave and nod something' definitely wrong with me, why can't i smile? There were a couple of fangirls scowling at us (the night class girls) for no reason but we just shook them off. Rima slowed down and came to walk beside me "Shiki has taken a liking to you" she said suddenly "what?" i asked "Senri...he likes you" she clarified "really?" i asked rhetorically "yes" she replied. I shook my head with a slight giggle "you smiled" she said "what?" i asked "you smiled, you haven't done that yet today" Rima replied "oh...yeah i guess i haven't" i replied "thank you" i continued "for what?" she asked "for making me smile, i needed it" i answered "you're welcome" was all she said when she ran ahead to catch up with Shiki (i don't know about any of you guys, but i actually like Rima she's nice :D).

After long and boring hours of classes we walked back to our dorms and we were all surprised when we found Yuki standig there looking around "Yuki?" i called, she jumped at turned around and the first name that came out of her mouth?...."Kaname!" she said "well hello to you too" i mumbled sarcastically earning some snickers from the night class. I walked forward from the crowd so i stood in frnot of everyone "(Y/N)!" she yelled in shock "why are you so surprised?" i asked "well...i didn't actually know you were here so..." she trailed off "didn't know i was in the night class?" i asked, she nodded in reply "well you were there when i...y'know so where di you think i was?" i asked "i don't know, gone to investigate your old home and by that i mean the Hio residence" the explained, the night class gasped 'yeah, they knew i was a pureblood but they had no idea i was a Hio' i remembered "y-you're a Hio?" Aido asked "yep" i replied popping the 'p' "i'm Shizuka's sister" i replied. The room was filled wiht whispers "so...you're on a higher status then Lord Kaname?" Ruka asked "i guess but i don't like to think that" i shrugged.

After they asked a bunch of questions i turned back around to Yuki "so...what are you doing here?" i asked "i was delivering blood tablets" she replied stepping tto the side to reveal a box full of smaller boes full of smaller boxes, full of tablets. I nodded "thank you" i replied, and stepped back "i'm going to let the president handle this" i said allowing Kaname to step up "thank you" he replied with a famous Kaname smile "no problem" i replied "i'm going to my room so...see ya!" i said running to my room to escape everyone, i just wasn't a people person. Closing the door behind me i took off my jacket and hung it up. There was a kncok on my door "come in" i called "(Y/N) it's has been long since we last talked" Shiki's voice called, i turned around to face him "yes it has, but haven't you been to busy modeling?" i asked "yes" he replied "but that is besides the point, Aido told me what happened and he wanted to apologize" he said. I scowled "tell him i'll forgive him when he comes and apologizes himself" i retorted "alright" he replied turning towards the door t]o leave.

I sighed and grabbed his arm "you don't have to do it now you know" i said "ok" was all he said and he turned back around to face me. We stood there awkwardly when i decided to make a move "I talked to Rima today" i said "she said something...." i trailed off "really? She doesn't like to talk much" he replied rather shocked "neither do you" i retorted with a laugh. Shiki looked at me with what seemed to be concern "did Aido really say what he said to you?" he asked, i sighed "yeah, and in all honesty i really thought he would've said something more heroic or something because of how he acts around women but no..." i replied "he is an idiot so..." he trailed off and i laughed "that's true" i said sitting down on the bed "would you like me to leave?" he asked "leave or stay i don't mind" i shrugged. Shiki nodded walking to the end of the room to drag my dressing room chair over and sit i in front of me "are you really the sister of Shizuka Hio?" he asked "yep, i was kidnapped by my foster parents who happened to be vampire hunters or something, i've come up with a couple of theories on what they wanted me for. The one i'm confident with is they wanted me to grow to become a vampire hunter and kill my own family" i answered.

I think we could both agree that, that idea was rther evil but because my 'parents' never spent much time with me i didn't know them all too well. We sat there talking about our pasts and i found out that Shiki's father (is it his father?) was also a pureblood, he was locked up somewhere though hopefully to never return. I felt comfortable talking to Shiki he actually listened but not like Kaname does it's different somehow but i can't help but think...is what Rima said really true?
