Chapter 16
Rosé's POV
Friday - February 16, 2018
"Oh my god, that's so cute," I couldn't help but awe over something Nari and I were watching. She had texted me earlier to come and watch Talia for a little bit since she had work. As it turned out, Nari got out a little early and I just decided to stay since I didn't really have anything else to do. Jungkook was out with his friends, Kai was busy visiting his friends in his hometown, and Jennie said she has a dumb family thing. So that really narrowed my options down. I figured I could just wait here for Jungkook to get back. As a way to past time, Nari put on something for us to watch. A half an hour later and I could've sworn I died at how cute it was. My mind no longer focused on the TV when I heard the front door open. I turned around and saw Jungkook entering the house. I got up from my seat on the couch and greeted him by hugging him. He let out a few curses as it was unexpected. He leaned down and pressed his lips against mine for a few seconds while smiling.
"What are you doing here?" He asked while wrapping his arms around me.
"I was babysitting Talia but Nari came home early. I decided to wait for you."
"So what have you been doing?"
A small laugh escaped my lips at his question, "Well, Nari, Talia and I were watching something."
"What were you watching?" We walked into the living room and his eyes slowly became wide as he saw the screen. "Nari, you didn't? Why? Why would you do this to me?" He whined out of embarrassment.
"Well, I didn't want Rosé to just sit and do nothing while she waited for you," Nari responded.
He dropped his bag, "So you chose to show her videos of me as a dumb four-year-old?" He's acting like it's the end of the world. It's kinda funny. Apparently, Talia found it funny too because she started laughing.
"Why not? I asked her if she wanted to see and she said yes."
He overdramatically placed his hand over his heart, "I have never felt more betrayed in my entire life."
"Oh stop being so dramatic. Besides, I found the videos more cute than embarrassing," I chimed in.
He plopped himself down on his stomach on the couch and sighed, "My life is over."
"You weren't very smart as a child, Kookie," Talia insulted.
He groaned and picked his head up from out of the couch, "Thanks, Talia." She just continued laughing.
I came up behind him and laid down on his back. "It's not that bad. You were so adorable as a four-year-old," I spoke up while making myself comfortable.
"You wanna see adorable? Let's go upstairs right now and you'll find out-"
"Jungkook! Your sister and Nari are in the room," I scolded while hitting him in the head.
"That's why I said we'll go upstairs-"
"Jungkook, I swear, I'm gonna kill you."
"I'm playing more videos," Nari interrupted. She jokingly rolled her eyes and pressed play. Jungkook and I turned our heads to see the TV and there we saw a smaller version of Jungkook dancing in front of a TV to the show he was watching. As a response, Jungkook buried his face in the couch.
"Don't worry babe, I already saw the ones of you in the bathtub. You missed the true embarrassment." It's a lot of fun to tease him.
"I want to die, I want to die, I want to die," He hit his head against his arms folded in front of him with each time he said that. Nari then tapped his arm. I thought it was in a joking matter, but she hit him pretty hard. Jungkook picked his head up and made eye contact with Nari before quietly apologizing. I was very confused. I mean, what was the problem? He was just joking. Talia tried lightening up the mood by reminding everyone of the videos playing on the TV. Although I was still confused, I pushed the thought aside to avoid a serious atmosphere again. I averted my attention back to the TV. The scene of Jungkook dancing changed to one on Christmas. He was opening presents while sitting on his mother's lap. I got off Jungkook's back to let him sit up. I sat down and turned to him, slightly worried. He never talked about her except for what his father did to her. He wasn't trying to hide his face from embarrassment now, he just stared at the screen.
