Elsa's POV

My dreams were peaceful, which meant that Pitch was telling the truth. When I did wake up, it was Jack shaking me awake. We were in a new place, what looked like a stone hallway. Probably fake. Rapunzel was with us too.

"The next trial started. But I have no idea what we are doing. Rapunzel says she recognizes where we are though, so we're going to follow her." Jack said. I stood up. Then I shoved my hand into the wall. Ouch. Real wall. I rubbed my hand.

"Why did you do that?" Jack asked.

"Because while you were out, Rapunzel revealed that everything was fake. I was just checking to see if that was true here." I explained.

"Oh. Ok. Thanks Rapunzel." Jack said. Rapunzel smiled and led the way. There was no talking at all. I have no idea why. This place just felt so evil, like something bad was about to happen.

After a few twists and turns, we came out into a big room. It had a large metal globe with glowing lights in the middle of the room. Jack stopped suddenly, then ran to the globe and touched it. Me and Rapunzel followed him.

"It can't be. But if it is... we have a way out of here." Jack was muttering to himself.

"I'm sorry guys, I thought I knew where we were. I guess I was wrong." Rapunzel apologized.

"Don't worry about it! And I think Jack knows where we are." I told her.

"I need to go check something. You guys stay here. I'll only be a second." Jack said. Then he ran across the room to a different exit and left. That left me and Rapunzel. I walked up to the globe and laid a hand on it.

"It's so big! What do think it is?" I asked Rapunzel.

"Looks like a giant globe to me." Rapunzel said.

"Yeah, you're probably right. But what do you think the lights are?" There was no reply.

"Yeah, I don't know either. What do you think about what Jack was saying, that we might have a way to escape? I hope so. I miss Anna." I continued. Silence.

"Rapunzel?" I asked, turning around. Rapunzel was a little ways behind me and holding a black and very sharp looking knife. I jumped slightly.

"You're one of those fakes! You aren't Rapunzel!" I yelled accusingly.

"Actually, I am Rapunzel." Rapunzel said.

"Then why are you holding a knife? I admit, it is more scary than the frying pan, but still!"

"Because I want Jack to be mine. All mine."

"What?"

"I'm getting you out of the picture Elsa."

"Is that what this is about? You love Jack, so you are going to kill me because I love him?" No reply.

"Well, I don't care who he is with. As long as he is happy. Sure, I love him. But if you love something, let it go. And if it comes back, it's yours." I said.

"Unfortunately, Jack loves you too. As long as you are alive, he will never see that I am the one he wants to be with."

"So let me get this straight. You are going to kill me because Jack loves me, and you think that with me gone Jack will fall in love with you?" I asked, playing for time.

"He already is in love with me! He just doesn't realize it yet! And stop stalling! I want to get this over with before Jack comes back." Rapunzel said, walking towards me with the knife help high. I backed up against the giant globe.

A burst of frost hit the knife and yanked it out of Rapunzel's hand, fusing it to the far wall. Rapunzel spun around angrily. Jack stood at the door he had left through, a very confused an angry look on his face.

"What's going on here?" Jack asked.

"Nothing Jack. Just a friendly chat between girls." Rapunzel said calmly.

"And the knife is there because...?"

"Because I was going to use it."

"Really."

"Yep."

"Elsa, explain."

"Rapunzel is going to kill me because of some stuff that Pitch told her." I told Jack.

"I see. Rapunzel, what exactly did Pitch tell you?"

"He told me stuff. Stuff you wouldn't understand." Rapunzel mumbled.

"Rapunzel, I may be the only one who will understand. Pitch has made me promises an told me half-truths too. I want to help you. But to do that, I need to know what Pitch told you." Jack said. Rapunzel took a deep breath.

"He told me I was his friend. That he took me because he saw something special. He said that now that Hans was gone, I could be by his side to... to break you two apart. and then that I could be with you." Rapunzel explained.

"Those were half-truths and empty promises. He was not your friend. He was only going to help you long enough to kill Elsa. Then, what he also didn't tell you is that he would kill me afterwards. It was a plan to hurt me all along." Jack explained. Rapunzel stood still for a moment, then broke down crying.

"I'm so sorry. He tricked me. It's all my fault." Rapunzel sobbed.

"It's ok Rapunzel. We forgive you. No harm, no foul." I told her. She looked at me gratefully.

"How very touching. You are all friends now again I suppose? I had forgotten how trusting people could be. And you discovered my little assassin. Too bad, I was going to have fun with her. But... there is always plan B." Pitch said. There was a rumbling and hissing sound coming from one of the halls.

"Run!" Jack yelled.
