Elsa's POV

We ran out one of the doorways as the rumbling got closer. The hallway was long, and it turned to the left before emptying into a large room. This room was full of cages hanging from the ceiling, and walkways winding around the room. They were too high to jump to though, and there were no other exits. The rumbling grew louder.

"What do we do now?" I asked. Jack scanned the room. Rapunzel looked at the walkways.

"Jack, you can fly us up there!" Rapunzel suggested. Jack looked at them skeptically. Then he shook his head sadly.

"I... I can't take both of you. Only one." Jack said. Rapunzel's face fell.

"You can't fly?" She asked.

"No. Pitch made it so that it is very... difficult to fly for long periods of time." Jack said evasively.

"Then take Elsa and fly her up there." Rapunzel said.

"But what about you?" I asked.

"I'll be fine! Get out of here!" Rapunzel declared, pushing me and Jack towards the walkways.

"Elsa, when we land, I may be incapable of moving. Go through the second doorway to the left, then turn right twice and straight the third time. Then you will be out of this place. Go north until you reach a large dome. That is where my friends live. Just say my name, and they will help you. Leave me if you must." Jack said.

"I can't leave you!" I cried.

"You will have to." Jack said, picking me up bridal style. He took off, flying towards the walkway. Below us, a wave of black sand washed into the room. It engulfed Rapunzel, but Jack kept flying.

Suddenly, a ripple went through the suit Jack wore, then he twitched. We crashed onto the walkway and I rolled out of Jack's arms. He skidded a little ways away. He began writhing on the ground. I crawled towards Jack. His eyes were clenched shut, and he was moaning in pain. I shook him gently.

"Jack! You're ok, I'm here." I told him. I heard the swish of sand behind me, and spun around. Pitch was standing behind me.

"Jack finally has finally tried to fly again. But he had to do it saving you. Oh well. Either way, it is time for him to die. And I am going to do it myself." Pitch said, a large scythe appearing in his hands. I stood in front of Jack.

"Over my dead body." I growled.

"That can be arranged." Pitch darted forward swinging the scythe, and I blew him back with icy wind. He countered with black sand, and I froze it with my ice.

"Jack did the same thing once, when I tried to get him to join me." Pitch laughed. Then the battle continued. Pitch ran towards me and swung the scythe, which I dodged, then he swung again and I gave him a face full of ice. He stumbled back again, clutching his eyes.

"You little worm!" He shouted. He blinked several times and then howled with rage.

"My sight! I can't see!" Pitch howled. I readied myself. This could be a trap. Pitch swung the scythe randomly. Then he growled again.

"Where are you?" He hissed. I stayed silent. The only noise was the rustling of the sand below us and Jack's moaning. Pitch laughed.

"If I can't hear you, then I can still get Jack. After all, he can't stop making noise. Can he?" Pitch began walking towards Jack with his eyes closed and hands held out. I had to do something! I blasted Pitch with my ice in his chest, then he fell back and off the walkway, into the sand below. The sand disappeared, but the rumbling intensified. Chunks of rock began falling from the ceiling. I ran to Jack and knelt beside him.

"Elsa! Are you ok?" Hiccup called. He and Merida ran up behind me.

"The whole building is crumbling! We have to get out of here!" Merida said.

"I know the way out. Merida, help me with Jack. Hiccup, I need you to get Rapunzel." I said.

"Where is she?" Hiccup asked.

"Down there. She stayed behind." Hiccup ran to the edge, then jumped back.

"Pitch is down there!" He yelled.

"Yeah! He fell! He won't stop you anyway, because he's blind."

"He wasn't blind before! What did we miss?"

"Just get Rapunzel!" I commanded. Hiccup climbed down the wall, finding footholds and handholds where none seemed existent. Moments later, he reappeared with Rapunzel slung over his shoulder. Me and Merida carried Jack between us, then all of us began running through the passage ways. Jack continued to moan and twitch.

"Right here." I told them, and we turned right. And we turned right at the next juncture too. Then we continued straight. The cavern continued to rumble. Then we saw light up ahead. The exit! We stumbled out just as the whole place collapsed. We put down Jack and Rapunzel, then caught our breath.

"That... was too close...." Merida gasped. Hiccup nodded. Jack stopped twitching, and I checked his pulse. Still alive, just unconscious. I heaved a sigh of relief.

"Where are we now? And how did you know the way out?" Hiccup asked.

"Jack told me, before... before he couldn't move. I don't know where we are, but I do know that it is Jack and Pitch's world, and also that Jack has friends who live near here. We should find them." I told everyone. We picked up Jack and Rapunzel, then continued north.
