Pitch's POV
The kids were getting good at my little game, and I could feel a growing connection between them. Of course, Merida and Hiccup had always been a thing, and as I had proved, Jack and Elsa were a couple. That left Rapunzel the odd one out. But I don't think she really cared about that. I had to find some way to use that to my advantage, especially since she spilled the beans about this all being fake. Only Jack didn't know about that now, but it was only a matter of time.
I looked at the monitor screens. All of the kids were asleep. Good. They believed me. They hadn't been sleeping at all, except for Jack and Rapunzel. But I was still mad at them all. They weren't playing by my rules! So in return, this would be their last trial. And then they would all die.
I prepared to send them to my lair. No one knew the way out from there. It was like a maze, except one they couldn't cheat in. And then I could kill Jack where I had always wanted to.
Rapunzel's POV
When I woke up, it was chained to a wall. And it was to watch Elsa die. But then Jack saved her. Were they a couple now or something? What had I missed? Then We had all been sent back to our rooms and I had fallen asleep. And now I was in a no longer empty room with Pitch. It was rectangular, and had a table and two chairs. I was in one, Pitch the other.
"Hello Rapunzel." Pitch said.
"Pitch."I growled.
"Yes. So happy you remember me. I wanted to talk to you."
"Then why not use your talk through the walls thing?"
"Because I only use that for prisoners."
"And that's supposed to mean...?"
"You are not a prisoner here."
"I was before. What suddenly changed your mind?"
"It was always changed. I kidnapped you because I sensed something special."
"And I'm supposed to believe that?"
"Think about it. I never really tried to kill you." I thought back. He was right, in a way. He certainly hadn't tried to kill me like he had Jack.
"And why are you telling me this?"
"Because now that Hans is gone, you can finally take his place. That was the plan all along you see."
"Really."
"Yes. My dear, you by my side, helping me think of ways to break Elsa an Jack apart."
"Break them apart?"
"Yes. Did you notice how Jack risked his life for her? They're in love dear Rapunzel. And you have been left out of the deal." That was like a dagger sinking into me. I flinched back. No. They couldn't be. Jack was supposed to be with me. I was the one who had saved his life so many times.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Was that a sore subject for you?" Pitch asked.
"He was supposed to be with me." I whispered.
"Why?"
"Because I saved his life. That was all me."
"I totally understand, but I don't think the others will. To show Jack that you are the one, we need to get Elsa out of the question."
"Yes. Elsa needs to go." I mumbled. Pitch smiled.
"I have the perfect way to do it. When I send you in, you will be with Jack and Elsa. Just walk with them a little ways and make them comfortable. Then you can kill Elsa with this dagger." Pitch explained, holding out a black dagger. I accepted it. Jack would be mine. All mine.
